How can I avoid getting penalized like that? Do I need to use ALL of the discipline points throughout the season? Or use the FEWEST number of them possible?
When your players do something bad...whether its a star player or not...you have to suspend them. However many points it takes to keep your "NCAA Interest" meter down...

And it means that you wont be able to get as many players come recruiting time...

In the offseason I ALWAYS put at least 40% of my budget towards discipline. This keeps your players from acting up.
Also, you shoud always suspend players that do something wrong. I don't care if its Reggie Bush or Vince Young.. suspend them. My brother was heading into a bowl game and didn't suspend a player because it was the last game of the year. He got probation because of it.

Yeah, my Star HB did something....forget exactly what it was, but, I didn't suspend him for the last game. The next year, I was on probation. It sucked.
The simple fact is that he is a over rated piece of **** that can't cover. He makes bad reads on routes and lacks the ability to recover when he is beaten.
For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
Yes it sucks. I had 40% discipline on mine but it seemed everyone was having violations. In the end I ran out of points to suspend anyone so I was on probation and that really sucks.
