Can someone please explain to me what you have to do to recruit someone? I just got the game for xmas and I'm totally lost. What is the differece when you scout someone or if you recruit them? Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok... Scouting tells you all of there abilities, how good they catch, how fast they are, how strong they are, ect... Recruiting them is trying to get them to come play for you... So scouting you see there abilities... Recruiting lets you try to lure them to you

What team are you? and yea.. they never wanna play for me but I always get them.. I think recruiting on NCAA Football 2005 is funner than the off season on Madden 2005

I'm Virginia Tech...just finished one season so far...I went 12-1...lost to USC in the Orange Bowl and I finished ranked #4 in both the coaches and AP poll and #3 in the bowl rankings.

anyone else have problems with not getting enough recruits? I never have enough points because you have to assign them and that garbage. any tips?

only assign them 3-9 points to recruit! that way you can recruit more players. I never had a problem with that. If ya get them or not....just play on JV or Varisty to make them regret not coming to your team!

Does it really matter if you scout someone or not, because it takes around 15 points just to scout someone. Also, what should a good recruit have as an overall rating? Last thing...what does it mean when it says ATH under someone's position?

ATH means they can play ANY position. They are Athletes! That is what that is!! If 3-9 points isn't enough to recruit someone, then forget them! you can try 15 points...but that won't get ya much. Try getting their attention by saying you'll give them playing time.

Thanks Swoosh...but I got one ATH and he doesn't seem to be good at any position.

what's his size....HT and WT?

I think he's 6 feet and around 200 pounds...I've put him at free safety for now...he's a 76 there.

that never works for me tho. I use a team out in nowhere and its hard for me to pull good recruits. I use like 20 per recruit and that doesnt even get the job done.

When your creating your budget make the Recruiting really high... Then you get like 220.... Atleast thats what I have right now
