September 26, 2004
ROLLA, Mo. (AP) -- Division II Pittsburg State beat Missouri-Rolla 91-27 Saturday night, setting a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association scoring record.
Neal Philpot passed for three of Pittsburg State's 13 touchdowns and ran for two more. The Gorillas also set an MIAA record with 809 yards of total offense and handed Missouri-Rolla its 57th consecutive conference loss.
Pittsburg State led just 7-0 after one quarter before scoring five touchdowns in the second to take a 42-0 halftime lead.
Sounds like a NCAA 05 game on Junior Varsity level....except they gave up 27 points
and people complained about Steve Spurrier running up the score.....LOL!!!!
