NCAA 2005 Wishlist...
1. Team moral attribute- if you have “troublemakers” on your team such as Maurice Clarett or Kellen Winslow, then your team moral would be lower than that of a team with a Larry Fitzgerald
2. Attitude attribute- List player as cocky, modest, flashy, disobedient, etc. This will affect team moral, as well as disobedient players getting in to legal trouble.
3. Athletic Director mode- Simply put, the equivalent of owner mode from Madden. (Ability to expand stadium or build new one which is especially needed when bringing up a smaller school to a perennial power.
4. Create-A Playbook- I don’t think I’m the only one that spends half of my school day making plays. This feature would have me failing every class in no time.
5. Two way players- Players such as Chris Gamble and Champ Bailey, or even Marcus Vick as of late that play more than one position should come through the recruiting classes every so often. Label their position as WR/CB etc.
6. Dynasty Practices- Necessity to hold practices during a season. Failure to do so would result in attributes dropping slightly. Practice regularly and the attributes would rise some, and practice too much and your team would be easily fatigued in that weekend’s game.
7. More muffed snaps- more bad exchanges from center, as well as botched snaps during field goals.
8. New Rivalries- Ability for new rivalry games to be made by having numerous close games with a school as well as the ability for rivalries to fade over time if the teams go opposite directions.
9. Field Storming- Storming the field after an upset or rivalry win.
10. Instant Classic- If a game goes over say 2000 points on the greatest games, it becomes a classic in which you can play as a scenario to maybe get your team the win if you lost.
11. Trick plays- More trick plays like real college football uses.
12. High School Position- During recruiting, tell what position the player played in High School, this could be helpful say, if you have multiple blue chip QBs coming in, you could move one to HB without losing many overall points if that was the position he played in HS.
13. Playmaker controls- Even if they don’t want to implement playmaker controls, (would be very nice if they did), they should at least give the feature of flipping a play at the line of scrimmage without player shifting (TE, Slot). Most packages have runs going to the strong side, which makes it very predictable. This would eliminate the advantage.
14. Different injuries- Lets be a little creative...you dont know how many times I have heard my player is out with "elbow bursistis." A little variation would be nice.
15. More realistic option run- less tosses through defenders. If the toss is made through a defender, have the defender intercept it.
16. Less drops by receivers- Just because the ball is thrown off the back foot of the QB does not mean the ball should be dropped when it hits the receiver right in the chest. If they want a penalty for throwing off the back foot, then make it an errant pass. The drops that hit right in the receiver’s hands are far too frustrating.
17. Less of the wrong animations on interception attempts- I hate when the defender runs away from the ball when you go for the pick. It should always go towards the ball in some way.
18. More options in create a school and create a player- More features in create a school such as more logos, etc. Also more features in create a player like helmet type and skin tone as well as hair.
19. Gameday crew at your school for game of the week as well as coach prep talks before and during halftime of a game.
20. One last suggestion…Please get rid of the mascot game…It’s horrible.
Thats about it...Feel free to drop your thoughts
