I'm very, VERY new to this game. I only recently went out and got it about 2 weeks ago, specifically to import draft classes, but I found it pretty good, like the rest of ya's. Anyhow, I wound up with the Orange. Unfortunately they're my team. When I lived in NY (less than a year ago) I was very into the habit of riding to the Carrier Dome to watch the likes of McNabb, Harrison, Freeney and T.B. Jones suck it up for us. Been doing it for years. So here's how I wound up.
(Note: the first couple games were on All American, then I bumped it up to Heisman to let the *asswhippin's begin)

So, to summarize, my defense kept me in a lot of games, even on Heisman. The UConn and Pitt game I thought I had won, but I just couldn't keep scoring with them offensively. Louisville at the end of the game, I HAD beat, until they threw a last second bomb that they caught in the endzone. It went down as a greatest game. No bowls, or nothing. Pretty boring season. I broke the team rushing record with Rhodes for a single season (under 1400 yards .. pathetic record eh?) and that was about it. I managed to recruit ONE guy, during the inseason recruiting, and he was really all about my team to begin with, which leaves me to believe that I have no idea how the he|| to recruit. I failed miserably at attracting anybody.
My offseason plans are to really begin rebuilding this team, and as you can see from above, probably anybody that did anything is gone, they graduated. All my All American/Big East All Stars are gone. I think 7 starters from my defense, and 4 out of 5 of my offensive linemen. I'm sure this happens a lot, but I really am upset with the state of this team .. no wonder Syracuse is like 1 - 6 in real life. They are slow all over, and downright stupid.
I have no idea what the offseason has in store for me. Just that most my good players are gone, so I'll really need some help recruiting. Anybody that likes to post in detail and knows a thing or two about recruiting, I'll treat your ideas like the bible. I know somebody elsewhere said something about ATH players .. or AHT players .. I'm not sure. What are those? Should I stick to players that are interested, and ignore the ones that may take some work to go after even if they are really good? Right now it looks like I could have a worse record next year. I lost my best QB -- the only one I could use positively. My presitage is like half the star chart, too. Nothing extraordinary. I just need to get faster all over the field, larger up front, and a few faster receivers to stretch the field would be nice .. but how the heck do I land a decent QB amidst all this? Not to mention .. my OL is GONE!
Recruiting tips? Heh.

I'll be taking a break and switching back to Madden .. so no rush if anybody has anything to advise. I have to do my offseason there, and season 2 first. So NCAA will be on hold for a few weeks.
