I want names in NCAA

all i can say is NAMES PLEASE! All that scouting and stuff for highschool players... its a huge waste of time even simulating takes 10 minutes !!! Don't need it, unless they make a highschool football game

you can use action replay for xbox or game shark I think it's called for playstation to get names for the players.

i just don't want rosters... i want official names and rosters and updates, and the ability to change a player's position or play both defense and offense

yes, you can get official names with what I said earlier. Someone "out there" does them and then you can download them....go to this site, register there and you can get them....OFFICIAL NAMES!!!

I dunno...Im optimistic about this subject because they were obviously trying to do something with it last year being as EA had the poll on their site that asked if more people would buy the game if it had the players names in it... Now that may be where the automated rosters came into place but those are fake names and im sure thats not what they had in mind... o well i too hope it does happen cause i already lost my action replay memory card from this year

lost it?? dang man, that's am important item and you lost it?? ahh well. I don't think a poll does anything.

Obviously more people would buy the game if the names were in it instead of numbers. But a rights infringement using the real names of players that don't get paid is a bad thing and I doubt very seriously it'd pass.

i love '06 but there are definitely some things that can be improved. I agree with others that rivalries need to play a much larger part in this game. In real life it doesnt matter the ranking or record of a team in a big time rivalry its all about the game. A game like Ohio State vs. Michigan is always a huge game and the rivalries just need to be harder and better. Race for the Heisman is pretty good but it needs more details. It needs to have a lot more things that you can do in it. The gameplay is always good but it would be nice if agility was a much bigger factor in the game. A Ted Ginn Jr. or a Devin Hester just needs to be able to make the big time juke and make a play and it just doesnt seem to change from a linebacker to a wide receiver agility that much. I think that Impact Players were a step towards making that but they also need refined. They are "in the zone" way too much and at the dumbest times. There needs to be 4 captains on the team not two better stadium and people in the stadium graphics, and it would be great if there was a good celebration for winning the National Championship. Why cant there be players celebrating and putting on their hats and t-shirts but no they always grab the trophy and run. What ever happened to making your own prospect and recruiting him? i loved that and the idea needs brought back, and fine tuned. Overall this is a great game though, and im sure 07 will be even better

ncaa basketball 2k6, is a good example of how to get around the ncaa rules governing the use of amatuer names. the announcers even pronounce the names correctly all of them even the foriegn players. if EA can't follower 2k6 they are plain lazy.

you know what WE, or SOMEONE should do? just totally dedicate a site to the names of the players in NCAA Football games. I mean it would not take alot of time to contribute your favourite team's Roster to a site and post it up there. I think this would be the next best solution. I would purchase one of those Action Replays or Sharkports that everyone is talking about, but since I live here in CanaDUH I can't seem to find them anywhere. Actually, I don't even think they sell them in Canada. Walmart doesen't sell them, and I haven't been able to find one at an EB anywhere.

They will never put names of college athletes in a video game. I wish they would and could but they can't. Usually I name half of the teams players and my buddy names the other half. We do this on the same roster file and then just copy and paste and presto we got em all. Time consuming but my buddy and I do sooo many dynasties it's worth it.

Well, I wouldn't say NEVER... because there is always the possibilty of a rule change.. but with the current NCAArules, it won't happen...

Yea anything's possible... and I do agree that NCAA 06 was a great game and mostly I agree with your points of improvement.
