I wanted to see it too, but a group event with a club from school got moved back a week (which because of the 300 was going to be dinner...girls watch one movie, guys watch 300), but it turned out alot of the guys were uncomfortable watching it (violence, nudity). I wasn't even able to figure out who wanted to or didn't want to see it until the dinner and by then it was sold out.
Better off, because we got to the theater 25 minutes after 300 started...got to watch Music and Lyrics with my girlfriend instead (would've seen Number 23 but it was sold out as well). We (girlfriend and I) are watching 300 next weekend though.

Yeah... I wouldn't compare Troy to anything but another bad movie. So not my cup of tea.

Extremists are like slinkys... Ultimately useless in the grand scheme of things... But still brings a smile to the face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
Yeah, I was going to say something similar but thought I'd bite my tongue....I like Troy for the sheer fact that I like those historical epics, but how do you completely take out all the mythology, etc and then have him randomly shot in the heel at the end?

I saw this movie this past weekend as well. Arrived at the theater an hour before showtime, and barely got seats. It was unbelievably good, and 100x better then Troy, in my opinion. I definately recomend seeing it, the fight scenes were awesome.
I didn't really care for it. Maybe it was because of all the hype I heard about it. I probably expected it to be the best movie ever and it really let me down.
I saw it twice in theaters, great both times. I find the scenes where they have big wide shots of the Spartan army, every single guy is just jacked. My friend has the theory that they're all just male models that the director hired, haha, I wouldn't be surprised.
