hancock was a dumb movie...I dont know how you could enjoy that movie over batman?? Hancock only weakness is some white girl that if he falls in love for he becomes human...thats worst then Superman's weakness
i really dont think you understood that part of the movie then...
and hancock was more funny
hancock was just different
I personally think Hancock was very underdeveloped, they could of made it way more interesting if they would of spent more time writing instead of working on special effects. They rushed the ending too, at least I think so.
I will admit that i thought Hancock could have been better by being longer...i was suprised when it was over unlike batman which my mom thoght was over 3 different time before it actually was but what you gonna do?
Too short...too long its all whatever.!
lol this post is a result of after a nap...
Then I might as well be the first... Why couldn't they at least get a somewhat decent looking actress to play Rachel? Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart are amazing actors for being able to play her off as beautiful. Give them Oscar nominations just for that. It's not like the role required an amazing actress, or that she was even that good. I don't know which two-face was scarier, the real one or her.
heath was on point..he put jack's joker to bed....so sinister but not too hollywood...he droppin police left n right...he use batman and 2 face so bad he easily was the star...but dat ugly *** girl on there,,2 face let her go....this movie was so good it made u wanna Slap yo momma...damn Christian Bale already did...he locked up in london crazy

I didn't mind Hancock. I didn't pay to see it, but I thought it was pretty good. Funny, but a bit short. In no way does it hold a candle to Batman, though.

That's what I love about Batman. It's not like other superhero movies where you have to suspend disbelief, it's something that could really happen.

Your absolutely right. That's what I was thinking when I went to see it. The script writers left much to be desired. It had tons of potential, but they didn't develop the characters and storyline enough. I am a big Will Smith fan. "I Am Legend" was great. "The Pursuit of Happyness" was another one of his recent great movies. This film falls a bit short in my mind.
Dont get me wrong, I laughed at it a few times. And I actually enjoyed it. But when you sit back and look at the movie, and look at the storyline and substance...It sucked. Quite enjoyable though.

Is that the 6 year old childhood fantasy coming out?
Though I do actually know what you are saying. I haven't seen Dark Knight yet, was going to yesterday, but saw these Chinese Acrobats, was sick actually. But with Begins, I felt the movie had a lot of substance because it didnt over play the nonsensical aspects. Which gave it realism, and takes it way above other movies in its genre, for me.

The only thing I found to be kinda of "Out there" is the airplane part, I'm not going to explain anything but people who have seen the movie know what I'm talking about.
I watched it last night. Great movie. I really enjoyed it, and Ledger's performance was incredible. I believed every second of it, he took the movie to the next level. Which they could clearly tell as it pretty much revolves around him. Bale took more of a back seat role I felt, which normally would have annoyed me, because I loved his performance in Batman Begins. But Ledger more than made up for it.
Great stuff, and definitely worth 2 hours and 30 mins of your time.
The "Out There" aspect in it MAS, I felt, was when they showed the Joker's video on the news...That would never happen. But they needed to get his threat in there somehow I suppose, as it was pivotal in the storyline.
Well anyway, well worth a watch, and the best movie I have seen this year.

They show hostage films and terrorist clips on the news all the time. While the Joker's was very graphic, I have no problem thinking the media would show that footage.

I dont believe they would show a ransom clip like that, myself. Yeah they show terrorist clips, but they are never anything like that, which was full blown insanity. The news might well be there to scare us, but even they have limits. The clips like that are often hostages being forced to talk and whatever. This clip effectively showed torture, insanity, mass panic being induced and ultimately death. Dont think it would get shown myself.
But I forgot the most unrealistic part if that is what we are discussing. *Mild Spoiler Alert* Harvey Dent coming out the hospital like that. Just dont see that one happening.
Anyway, the movie was awesome. Im not knocking it, I just felt the Airplane part wasnt particularly unbelievable compared to a couple of other parts.
And yeah GPG, Id go if I was you. Everyone seems to be loving it that I have spoken to. And its been out over a week, and on a Sunday night at 1930, the showing was sold out that I went to see. Just thought that was quite impressive when its getting shown at least 5 times a day.

I personally liked that bit, and that whole scene/plan.

Just got back from the cinema, and I have to say, that as probably the best movie I'd ever seen. All the actors and actresses put in very strong performances, from Heath Ledger to the guy who played the Mayor.
I particularly liked the guy who played the Lieutenant. I don't know his name, but I thought he was very very good. Would he be considred a supporting character? Because he was, then I could see him winning a few awards. That whole film should be expecting quite a few awards.
He next used a pig, as pigs have nervous systems close to humans. Lifted off the ground, the pig began to spin as it flew through the air at 125 mph. It arrived on board undamaged but in a disoriented state. Once it recovered, it attacked the crew.
Thats freaking funny.... I would have loved to see that.

He gave a good performance, but I dont know if it was award worthy. I dont think it was that challenging of a role to play. Dont get me wrong, very convincing, but nothing that blows your mind...Like I felt Ledger's did..
