i'm having a problem with my mic though. i can't hear anyone talking and they can't hear me. the mic is on and everything...is there a setting on the 360 that i have to change or something? any help would be appreciated

Did you just get this problem with the new mic or is you whole system new? If you just bought a mike and the old one worked before it broke, then you might have just gotten a bad mic even though it was new. If your system is new, you will need to go into your console settings and look for the speaker/microphone settings and see if it says that the mic and speakers run though your tv speakers.

the whole system is new. i checked the settings and i set it up so that it is supposed to play through both the headset and the speakers. the little switch on the mic is on. i don't know...i guess it could be broke but i just doubted it cuz i just bought the whole system new on monday
