When you develop a game, perhaps the difference in difficulty between one level and the next (All Pro - All Madden) should be in the ability of the players. EA Sports does not follow that simple guideline when developing ANY sporting game they own.
The way they differentiate between levels is simply by programming RIDICULOUS things that don't seem to happen on the previous level at all! I have receivers, running their pattern perfectly and wide open - I throw the ball, they catch it. Move one level up, I have the same receiver, running the same great pattern, even MORE open - and yet the ball is thrown 15 yards short right into the hands of the defender who returns it 86 yards for the TD????? LMAO!!! GIMME A BREAK!!! And yes the QB's feet were planted, and yes I use QB vision on all levels, and yes I know how to play. So how does EA SPORTS explain this? Simple. You program it to rip you off. I don't mind losing. If it's a good game, fair play, and it's tight, great, or even if I get blown out but make stupid mental errors and take risks I shouldn't, then that's fine too. But in a game I'm down by 4 at the COMP's 15 yard line with less than 30 on the clock you program your game to completely rip me off. In a game that already saw a pass go off my defenders "head" and BEHIND their receiver but AMAZINGLY he has arms growing out his back to make the catch. It's stupid. And I refuse to buy any more games from EA SPORTS. One level I go 17-2, win the Super Bowl, and it's boring. The next level, all of a sudden the ball is going completely not where it was thrown, balls going off heads and being caught by receivers BACKS, and fumbles that juuuuuust seem to "happen" when it puts the COMP in scoring position late to win the game.
Is there no in between??????
The design and programming of your game SUCKS along with every single other EA SPORTS game out there. I won't buy another game because I can't seem to decide - play a level where EVERYTHING goes my way and it's boring, or play a level where miracles always happen for the computer and somehow my QB throwing percentage dips from 74 to 25. WHAT A JOKE!!!!
I would agree with Cash... What is your sliders set at?

I do agree however that it is kind of rediculous the "Amazing Miricals" the computer does on All-Madden. Fumbles, WRs "phazing" forward to catch a ball there is no way they should catch, DBs getting a "turbo boost" of speed at the last second to swat a ball down or pick it off, O-lineman just "forgetting" to block or even refusing to block when controlled on certain plays.
EA does need to come up with a better way to make the game harder than just making rediculous things happen to your dis-advantage all the time.

Amen brotha.... I really wish there would be a coach on the cover for next year to signify that they made the AI coaching more difficult to game plan against. They should just take a lot of the ideas they used for Head Coach, and roll it into madden.
Instead of making the players harder, make the game smarter.
