I know last year you could, but I couldn't speak for this years version.. I've got the PS3 now, and there are no clubs online on PS3 . MV may be able to help you out on this though, I know he plays a lot of Madden online on his Ps2.

That's what you do but it might be R3 im not positive but it says it on the bottom of the screen next to options.

Just to clarify and make it clear of what to do.... go to (1.)game modes, (2.)community, (3.) clubs, (4.) press R1 until you get to News or Leaders or whatever, (5.) press R3 and quit the club
