my first posted tampa bay franchise

i got bored with my old franchise (seattle) and decided to do the "close your eyes and pick" method and came up with the bucs. i've played a few games and i'm getting ready to shake up the roster a little bit. since i've been starting chris simms so that he'll improve GREATLY in the offseason, i traded brad johnson to the cowboys for their first and second round picks. now, here comes what will probably be a shocker to most, but i'll do my best to explain it. i'm going to trade warren sapp and his 10 million a year salary to new england for rookies ty warren (to fill sapp's void), rookie wr bethel johnson, and their first round pick as well. i add a HELLUVA lot of speed at wr with johnson (97 speed) and in a past franchise with warren, he turned out to be a beast so i thought i'd try him out again. besides, mcfarland is a dt who is 92 overall so it's not much of a tradeoff. i think i'm gonna let the rest of the season ride out since i've increased my cap space to about 17 million and have more than enough draft picks next year. i'll let you guys know the end of the year stats and awards when the first season is done, probably in a few days.

1. move this to thread to the franchise section if it's possible.
2. tell me how to do it so if it needs to be done again i can do it myself.

i've looked around a little bit for how to do it and cant find how. any help would be appreciated.

Done.

And man, I guess those trades would help, and you're stepping out on the edge by trading Sapp.

thanks for the trade plus end of 1st year stats

first off, thanks for moving the thread for me. now, after that extremely short intro, on to the end of the year stats and starting line ups for the second season.

qb - chris simms. he started out pretty weak, and my advisors actually questioned his ability in their section, but he ended the season with a 132.3 rating, 3389 yds, 50 td, 8 int, completed 73 % of his passes, was invited to the pro bowl and won rookie of the year honors. oh yeah, he improved to a 78 after the season, training camp, and preseason.

rb - michael pittman ended the year at with an 86 rating, but rushed for 2724yds and 44td on 337 carries for an 8.0 avg, was invited to the pro bowl, won offensive player of the year, and was running back of the year.

mike alstott has a 94 rating and went to the pro bowl

keyshawn johnson, rating 96, had 149 catches, 2045 yds, 25 td, went to the pro bowl and was receiver of the year

bethel lohnson, rating 80, had 60 catches for 774 yds and 6 td

ken dilger, 83, had 33 receptions for 358 yds and 5 td

all 5 of my offensive linemen made it to the pro bowl

marco barney is a rookie de i drafted with an overall rating of 83
simeon rice is at 96 and had 25 tackles and 9 sacks last season

ty warren, dt, rating of 83 had 34 tackles and 7 sacks
lemont bonds is a rookie dt who is 78 overall
anthony mcfarland is an overpriced dt, rating of 91, but only had 11 tackles and 3 sacks last season. pitiful

dwayne rudd, 91, had 50 tackles, 1 sack, and 7 int
shelton quarles, 88, had 61 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 int's
derrick brooks, 99, had 62 tackles, 0 sacks, and 9 int's

ronde barber, 96, had 50 tackles and 10 picks and was db of the year
brian kelly,90, had 47 tackles and 4 int

dwight smith, 90, had 48 tackles and 5 int's
john lynch, 94, had 52 tackles and 3 int's

that seems like an EXTREMELY long post. i'll try to condense it next time. oh yeah, i played on all pro, with sliders even. i really like to lambaste the computer

19-0

yes, i played every game, ecxept for the playoffs, and went 19-0. i'm not sure what i put in my last post, but i play the game on pro (or is it all pro. it's the one above rookie, whichever that is. my team won the championship, but i simulated the playoffs. by the time the regular season is done, i want to get to the offseason and do my transactions. i played the first game in my second season, against the raiders, in oakland.

this game was one of the most sound one's i've played, especially on defense. usually, i think i'm going to either shutout the computer or only give up a field goal, but they end up going on some ridiculous scoring spree where they score something like 24 points in 2 and a half minutes. it didn't happen this time.

the final score was 59-3, and my defense was amazing. ty warren had 4 tackles, 3 for losses, and two sacks, and the rookie de i drafted, marco barney, also had 2 sacks. brian kelly and a rookie cb i drafted who comes in when i run a dime defense both had interceptions for touchdowns. i was most impressed by the fact that i DIDN'T GIVE UP A HUGE PLAY FOR A TD like i do in almost everygame. my entire defense swallowed up their offense, mostly running 3-4 double wide, 3-4 drop zone, and a dime defense. i know these stats sound pretty ridiculous, but if you find maybe 10 plays on offense and master them, the computer has absolutely no chance in winning.

You play a 3-4? Didn't you trade Sapp for Ty Warren? It looks like it worked out for you... if I'm right lol. Keep it going man. How long are your quarters?

quarters

i play five minute quarters. i had a franchise with new england a while ago (that's how i knew about ty warren) that i played on all pro, or whatever the second highest setting is. i went undefeated for 2 straight seasons, then during the 3rd got bored with it. i was still scoring a lot of points, i just had a system that i followed on offense that had 5 or 6 plays, and with putting guys in motion and or doing playmaker routes before the snap, couldn't be stopped and it got boring. i'll probably try my next franchise on all madden. thanks for the responses guys, at least i know people are actually reading my posts.

second game, same as the first

ok, i don't really know what i'm doing different in this season than last season, or in any other franchise i've done for that matter, but in my first 2 games of this season i've beaten the raiders 59-3, and i just waxed carolina 62-0, my first shutout in a LONG time. michael pittman bounced back from his 89 yard first game and is in the form he was in last season. chris simms was out for the first half with a wrist injury, and he came back in the second half to limited action, so his stats weren't very good. the story in this game, again, was the defense my team is playing. My team forced 6 interceptions, and ronde barber returned his for a score, so my defense has outscored my opponents 21-3 in the first two games. ty warren and my rookie de marco barney were animals again on the front line, and should get half credit for a few of the picks, not giving delhomme any time to read the defense. on to the stats

shawn king 9-16 152yds 1td 0int
chris simms 8-12 83 yds 2td 1int

michael pittman 18att 221yds 4td 6btk 2 20+yd runs, 73 yd long

bethel johnson 8rec 92yds 2td
keyshawn johnson 5rec 89yds 1td

ty warren 3tck, 2sacks, 1tck for loss
marco barney 2tck, 2sacks

derrick brooks, nate webster, dwayne rudd, ronde barber, dwight smith, and shelton quarles had 1int a pice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
jake delhomme ws 16-38 for 224yds 0td and 6int

stat correction: in the first game, ty warren had 4tck and 3sacks, not 4tck and 2sacks. i think the trade of sapp for him and bethel johnson is panning out, what about you guys? oh yeah, i've got anthony mcfarland and his 4million dollar a year contract riding the pine. should i trade him for picks or players?

Wow dude, your stats are stunning for 5 minute quarters. I saw Pittman's rushing yards and my jaw dropped. Keep it up whatever you're doing lol. I say put McFarland up on the trading block and request draft picks. Some of those guys are getting old, so, insurance is important.
