Does anyone know if you use the custom playbook in Franchise Mode with Madden 08?

Why did EA take away that option? I really enjoyed using the custom playbook feature in franchise mode...

EA took away that option like 3 years ago.. the reason is because there is a bug in substitutions when using it so instead of fixing the bug they just got rid of it. Corporate solutions to problems.

I never noticed the bugs... Couldn't have been that big of a problem... Of course, I always had the "autosubs" turned off...

Was not an autosub bug.. It was a bug when you went into formations and subbed in players...

You would end up getting punters playing CB or Olineman playing QB...

OK... I still never noticed it because I never subbed since I always had fatigue and injuries off when I played in Franchise Mode... I used to love EA... I used to play Madden a lot but now EA has really gone down hill... All of their games are sub-standard to me...

TO EA:

NEVER REMOVE OPTIONS FROM A NEW VERSION OF A GAME...

I think he is confused about the subs anyway. He probably doesnt even know you can sub guys in certain formations and thats what you are talking about.

No, I'm not confused "Chaos6"... I understand about subbing... And mayber there was a bug in it... I just never noticed it... I never had a problem with subbing in Franchise Mode... I remember I used to be able to put a CB like Deion at WR, or maybe putting in a quicker WR in the slot, but I don't remember having that big of a problem with subbing and I've been playing Madden for a long time... I know about the depth chart vs. formation subbing... I do remember something about formation subbing but it was never that big of a deal to me that I would rather not have the custom playbook (OPTION) in Franchise mode cancelled...

I remember spending a few hours tweaking the ultimate playbook for 06 and not being able to use it in FR mode. What a waste of time.

I think the fact that
a) you can't pick the play
b) you have NO control over who comes on and off the team
and
c) you can be a 78 OVR rb with a 99 speed and rush for 2,000 yards as a rookie.

Seriously, at least fix it for the PS2 version. It's not like they do ANYTHING AT ALL for the current gen versions. What's a little work to fix the create-a-playbook option? My God these people make me want to sue them. For the love of all that is holy FIX THE FREAKIN CREATE-A-PLAYBOOK FEATURE! I don't CARE if there is a freaking substitution glitch! I can deal with that! God, just fix it! Lazy lazy lazy corporate jerks.
