Huge Problem
I dont know how many ppl out there play franchise like me. I like to Simulate ALL of my games (It's more rewarding to me when my team wins off of my General Management abilities). I don't even do the training camp since it's obvious the other teams don't benefit from this option (Which I think is a very dumb thing on EA's part). But this years Franchise to me Sucks. It's almost impossible, (playing the mode like I do) to keep a decent QB. Unless they are the professional NFL Superstars we see today, they most likely will decrease in talent. A guy like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady will stay good the remainder of thier career, while a guy like Eli Manning or Joey Harrington will take a downward spiral. The reason is due to there awareness... Ea makes a really bad idea in the rating progressions (or in this case, regression). When your guy throws an interception or two, despite some TD's, come progression time, not only does there Accuracy drop (which it should) but there Awareness drops too! So what happens? Next game out, your guy is dumber than he was before throwing even MORE interceptions. They litterally have to play perfect seasons to progress. I was using the Jets for my franchise and Chad Penningtons rating never went pass 90, which sucks but, whatever. I drafted several rookies afterwards and they ALL regressed. Even one that once had a 12 TD 8 Int season had his rating drop. After several seasons of realizing that I wasn't going to get a good QB through the draft, I signed a restricted free agent QB whose overall was 88 (sadly, the highest in the league) that was in his third year. He had two bad seasons with us and I gave him the boot as well (dropped to an 82). In his 12th year in the league, I found him at the bottom of the Free Agents list with an Overall rating of 72! His awareness was like a 53 or something. Please explain how after all those seasons, his Awareness went from 70 something... to 53!!!! How does that happen! I thought your supposed to get Wiser as more games are played, not stupider!!!! In the 21st year in the Franchise, no QB rating is higher than 83 (The rating of freaking Trent Dilfer). Rookies dominate in the QB ratings on the NFL list, only because they havent all lost there skills yet. In about 5 years... they will all be 65's or 70's. As a result of this, there are no Dynasties... whoever played the best defense that season, or had the best special teams, won the superbowl.( and still the QBs rating will go down after winning if he threw a pick) I hope and pray that a patch comes out that will change the "awareness decreasing after games played" thing down. Sorry for the long story, but I needed to vent! Let me know if yall have the same problem.
