Rams Dynasty Year 1

Hi I'm the GM from the St. Louis Rams. I'll be reporting on to you on how are Rams are doing week in and out and give my thoughts on each game. Hope you enjoy it!

Pre-Season Analysis-

I think our defense could be improved. Im looking for a trade involving Marshall Faulk for a good,young CB. Faulk is getting older and we have young talent in Stephen Jackson. Look for Jackson to take over at the HB spot. Also i'm going to improve our DB core and our LB core as much as possible. Aenias Williams is getting old and will need some help on the defensive side of the ball. On offense it doesn't get much better. We have two of the best recievers in Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce both who should be around for awhile. A solid O-Line lead by Orlando Pace should be invaluable in protecting Mark Bulger in the pocket. They should also help develope our young back Stephen Jackson.

Free Agent Signings/Contract Extensions-

Rams sign ROLB J. Gildon to a 4 year deal.

Rams sign MLB J. Trotter to a 4 year deal.

Rams sign CB R. McNiel to a 3 year deal.

Rams sign RE K. Holmes to a 4 year deal.

Rams resign LOLB T. Polly to a 4 year deal.

Trades-

Rams trade MLB R. Thomas/Patriots trade CB T. Buckley

Rams trade HB M. Faulk/Vikings Trade CB A. Winfield

Preseason Transaction Analysis-

With the additions of two veteran LBs in Trotter and Gildon our LB core is much better than before. We expect a lot of our trio of LBs this year and years to come. RE was one of our weaker positions so we went out and got a solid player in Kenny Holmes for a 4 year deal. McNiel is a veteran CB who can help develop alot of our younger DBs. R. Thomas was angry about his current position and asked for a trade. So we picked up another CB in T. Buckley. The trade for Marshall was going to be a harder decision than I thought. With offers like A. Glenn (HOU) and A.Winfield (MIN) and countless other CBs it was an extremely hard decision. We went with Winfield. Glenn has more talent than him but Winfield is 4 years younger and we need youth on this defense. Now were off to the Pre-Season Games!

Week 3 - Rams (30) vs. Redskins (10)
Week 4 - Rams (28) at Raiders (31)

Overall Preseason Record 3-1

Analysis-

I couldn't of expected more out of our teams. Mike played a lot of our back ups and that just shows how good of a team we are. Only tough game was against the Raiders who hit a game winning field goal with 7 seconds left.
Aside from that it was a great preseason. I'll be recieving our Season Schedule soon!

Well. Couldv'e been a way better game from our offense but oh well. Stephen Jackson had a solid game with 73 yds rushing and 1 td. The downside was his fumble in the redzone. McNiel proved he was worth his contract and got an INT for the TD. Bulger threw for 217 yds of recieving but 2 INTS and to TDs isn't amazing. The defence held its own but the offence MUST improve next week when we face the falcons.

Nice prediction for a 31-0 win. 21-10 and the fumble in the RZ turned the prediction around!

When you said the Offense must improve when you face the falcons, I think you're mistaken. I think your defense should improve. You don't know if Vick will pass for the long ball or run with it....

Also, who is McNeil?? Who was he playing in place of and why? what level and how many minutes do ya play?

Overall, I like this thread cause you are fair and impartial when predicting your own outcome!
