Bear with me guys..... I haven't played a franchise in god knows how long..... after reading about everyone else (yes i do read them, i just don't post in them) I decided to start another. I already finished my first season and I'm going to post everything including stats...... Hopefully i still got it...
First off let me just let everyone know that I created ONLY ONE player and that was me.... I made myself a QB but to be fair i made myself a 76 overall. (I'll have you know that signing myself to a 7yr deal was not as cheap as i thought it would be)..... damn us greedy football players....
Other than that i didn't alter any other part of the game.... I didn't import the NCAA class for draft or anything like that....
One last noteworthy detail is that I am playing this game on All-Madden with the Computer A.I. sliders to its max (except for punting, field goal, and kickoff LENGTH, i did boost their accuracy). The game is played on 9 minute quarters with accelerated clock and I also boosted all the Penalty sliders to the max except for the most called Facemask and Holding.

My END PLAYOFF GAME didn't go well.... I hate to admit it but i got killed by .... yep the STEELERS.... thanks Harty..... i mean killed.

i know, but i got younger players with cheaper contracts...... traded awat studs for guys i can make studs, but sign them to decent contracts.... As much as i love Madison and Surtain... they are abit overpaid..... i got Champ Bailey a 98 overall cheaper and he's only 25 ..... Terence Newman on the other hand is only a 82 overall (which i turned into a 88 after season 1), but he's very young (a rookie) and he has a speed of 97.... when he has great closing speed if he ever gets beat on a play.... need to work on his awareness now and we're set..... as for Taylor.... I personally like to rush from the LE and rarely ever us the RE unless they add a TE on my side or throw the RB to block on my side... so he was abit useless to me... Losing Seau and Taylor did hurt, but Colvin played beyond great and Barnett improved alot not to mention Brushci was pretty good.... and my run support from Roy WIlliams and Ed Reed made up for it.

i gave up either sam madison or champ bailey and 2 1st rounders i think....... I got alot of picks since i traded alot of my team and signed some FA's... I mean when you trade away a Zach Thomas for a Barnett, you get more than one draft pick.... some times i would couple lower draft picks like a 2nd and 2 3rds for another 1st just to trade away... I'm crazy like that

Also phatboy ty..... whats your beef with making trades (your right pete i didn't notice).... Its my franchise I'm allowed to play with the playes i feel will make me better..... I didn't cheat the system since i gave up quality players to get quality players..... I didn't sign free agents and trade them for picks and stuff (matter of fact i didn't even sign ONE free agent this offseason.... I didn't even import the NCAA draft class.... i just picked out of the computer generated rookies .... And unlike other i also don't trade my players before they retire.... In fact if i really like them... (i.e. Roy Williams, Champ Bailey, Decue, etc.... I almost always let them retire as a Dolphin if they chose to do so at a reasonable price or i just don't resign them, but i don't trade them at the last second..... so because i made many trades it shouldn't make it less appealing to read my franchise.....
TRUTH is that i made my team abit worse....... I traded a solid LB corps and a rookie in Barnett and a mediocre player in Bruschi....... I traded away the best RE in the game, Jason Taylor and put another rookie Terrel Suggs in his spot..... I traded two of the top 3 CB in Madden for the best CB in Madden and a rookie thats an 82.... I started myself as a QB and made myself as a 76 (and i didn't do a minicamp for my player either).... so more than making trades its that I enjoy a challenge since i gotten real good and playing on All-Madden with adjusted sliders isn't enough anymore so i had to slow my team down.... thats no crime

SEASON 2
PRE-SEASON
I traded the following players ( The real reason for these trades was that i only had 650k after signing my draft picks and filling my roster and i was in the red by ALOT somehow..... so i needed to clear cap room.....)
(1) WR Rogers, 3rd round pick FOR WR Chad Johnson, 4th round pick
(Charles Rogers was making way too much…. When Detroit signed him it was all salary with no bonus, so I was taking all the hit.)
(2) WR Chambers FOR WR Jerry Porter, 2rd & 4th round pick
(Chambers was going INTO his contact year, next year and he wanted 5mil a year to resign, I wasn't to fond of that)
(3) Terence Newman FOR 1st 2nd round picks
(although I brought him from an 82 to 88 overall in 1 Season, but unfortunately he was making Champ Bailey type Money)
good trades...shame about newman, he did amazing! good job getting rid of reed, he underperformed, uncharactaristically though, maybe it was an off-year for him...like the way it is going though.
Couple a 2nd 3rd and something else to get another 1st or something.... way i look at it i got like 4 1st round draft picks.... I can get another SS to replace him.... then I'm going to draft another WR to replace Porter and soon Chad as he also wants alot to resign..... maybe another CB... an dif there is a good Line-man available I might go that way for now... I don't think I got any pressing needs, my team is pretty young....
I wish i didn't have to trade Newman either, but he was making as much as Bailey was a year.... for a guy who was 82 (I made him an 88 though hard work) to ask they type of Money a 98 overall guy is getting is ridiculous... I wish he would of signed for less.... I mean i could of used a guy with his amazing speed on Defense and i would of increase his awarness and catching myself, unfortunately i didn't work out.... but still I'm doing okay
Reed is underperforming, but i dont' think its his fault... I got a good backfield with Champ, Newman, Roy Williams, there isn't much room for him to make plays..... Regardless he's not a necessity and i need to get under the cap since i was only like 500k or so away from it... I'm like 11.5mil under now....

yeah I'm very concerned about the money... I'm an accountant... I remember listening to a friends advice once and not fixing my roster like i should and i would up in negative and i couldn't sign any of my draft picks (had 2 1st rounders that were 80's)

Week 1 featured the Miami Dolphins vs the NYJ. Lets just say that there were no Miracle in NY happenings this time around. I would tell the game story but it was boring. It was merely me killing the Jets all day. I mean first play of the game i sack Pennington with DE Ogunleye, second play they ran, 3rd play i hit Pennington again, with Ogunleye (he threw as i hit) and injured him for 3 weeks. Their backup, some rookie draft pic, threw 6 INT's. My Defensive Backs had a field day. It was so much fun for me that I even let Madden start picking all my plays on Offense and Defense to see what would happen
[Week 2]
Buffalo * Miami
Now this was a crazy game. It was a back and forth sea-saw battle all game between me and Bledsoe. I mean TD for TD and even INT for INT. Only problem i had all day was stopping Travis Henry who was breaking every damn tackle... I had to start diving at his feet or else he would plow me.
Now check this 2 minutes left, I'm down 6. I march down the field and score, unfortunately i left 33 seconds on the clock. Now I'm an experienced player and i know how the A.I. does in the final two minutes of a game, but i know i can stop them because I've done it before, I do it often, and they have NO TIMEOUTS. I pause the game (I'm at a friends house by the way) to go the the bathroom and prepare for the final drive of the game and i tell my boy just like this "Don't ****ing touch that ****, I'm serious" ... So i go and handle my business and when i come back to my amazement, he was searching through the madden cards. I'm like "wtf are you doing" and he's like "shhhhhh, i need a wind gust" and I'm like "what?". Well it turns out that "Don't ****ing touch that ****" wasn't clear enough. He took over, Bledsoe burned him and he got called for a penalty (roughing the passer, you believe that ****). Well he plays the wind gust while I'm calling him obsenities and to both our amazements, the WIND GUST pushed the ball left, then pushed it right then pushed it back and then THE BALL WENT TROUGH ANYWAY. Needless to say i lost that damn game.
