Hey all
First post here.Me and my buddy are in our 4th season of All Madden franchise (w/ fantasy draft) and I have some questions. Our careers have gone in different paths, as he has been kicking *** and I have been 6-10, 6-10 and 4-12 the first 3 seasons. As a result, the Morale of some of my team members is actually at zero. Consequently I find them not even playing the games. Yes they are first in the depth chart, but they just dont play. While others who have similar morale do play. This was surprising, so i traded away many of the players who didnt want to play for me anymore , including Anthony Gonzalez (77 overall to an 85 after 3 seasons), my secondary, Eugene Wilson (89) and Chris Hope (93), Antonio Gates (98), Peyton (99) and the list goes on. However I did keep around a few guys who are young and still under contract for several years. I realize these players are classified on the inactive list and simply wont play for me. And this season I am much improved (6-3), however the morale of many players is not increasing at all. I was wondering if there is any way these players will play for me again? Should I just trade them? It seems as though, if u have a couple ****ty seasons all your best players just want to bail so youre pretty much ****ed.
There is a rating IMP, it means importance. If you are trading your most important people on your team, morale does go down. Now I've never seen the case where players won't play, but I wouldn't trade.

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
I know about the importance meter. Im saying that these players morale was at 0 prior to any trades. 2 games into the season and nearly all my elite defensive starters just wouldn't play. It didn't really make sense. Im still rolling with nearly all backups as is

Wow, Ive never seen this. I dont normally lose that many games, so my players morale stays high. Though, I have noticed, some players will just be a distraction for a whole season. For example, I used to pick up Sean Taylor in FA quite a lot, and he would stay pissed for a whole year and only change in the off season..
Also, perhaps the morale thing works like the FA Meter? So whatever they value, if you arent doing, they might get pissed.
Perhaps offer them new deals?
I really dont know, Ive never heard of players just literally not playing..

yeah it truly is bizarre.
Some players just got huge new contracts and arent playing..while others simply reject new deals stating that "After the way I treated them, they wouldn't think of re-signing", but it still doesnt explain why they are not playing at the moment.
I feel it really has to do with the active/inactive list..the players that arent playing are listed as inactive, but I have no idea how to toggle with that.
Oh I see. Is it not in the section where you turn off/on injuries? You know where you adjust the game settings? I would have thought if it was anywhere it was there..

As a follow up
I got to the next season, and those players who wouldnt play for me before, are just off my team. Even the ones under long term contracts, they just became free agents.
