Why is there even a thread to debate about this??? I mean come on people without a doubt the far greater system as a whole has to be xbox....you can't beat the better graphics. Hell the only thing that makes XBOX worse then the ps2 is the controller which doesnt configure as well with madden as ps2...but you can always adjust to a controller.
o unfortunately I am never the person who buys madden my brother always does and he likes ps2 better, because "The Xbox controller doesnt work well with madden" translation, "I'm a dumbass who's to lazy to get used to a different controller"....anyway unfortunately I play MADDEN on ps2......not xbox *sigh
My 1 cent. I've played NCAA 2006 on both consoles, and the Xbox played cleaner, and graphics were sharper. Of course, I am biased because I have an Xbox and am used to it's controllers over the PS controllers.
For all the games that the PS2 has, I don't see any that I want that I can't get for the Xbox...even GTA San Andreas, the GTA series eventually comes to the Xbox after a few months, and when it does it's better than the PS2 version anyway because the developers have more power available so they can design sharper graphics and such.
Regarding the L2 and R2 buttons, the new Xbox 360 controller is moving the black and white buttons to be above the triggers, much like the PS controllers.
Also, regarding that converter so people can use the PS controllers on the Xbox. I have that thing, and let my PS buddies use it when they play on my Xbox, but when the receivers are pulled up, they display the corresponding Xbox buttons, not the PS buttons...so they get frustrated and confused anyway....then end up using the xbox controller anyway. LOL. Has anyone had success using the PS controller on the xbox?
Well, I'm Biased too, I like whatevers best and for all you PS2 lovers.. go read the write-ups on madden 06 so far and you will see people are writing that the game is much better on xbox.. plays smooth and looks much better.. the PS2 has been pushed to its limits..
The guys at maddennation say this and they are ps2 lovers.. but they say they will be playing madden on xbox this year.. and are alread yplaying ncaa on the xbox to prepare because of slowdowns and ghettoness on the ps2..

The game is already developed well before it ever reaches the Xbox. It is simply ported over to the Xbox, the developers are long done with it by then.

Well...I had the jist of it anyway...the jist being that the Xbox is more powerful so the game looks better. And I was just assuming that the developers improved GTA before it gets released for Xbox because that's what I read they did when they released GTA 3 and Vice City a few years ago.
I like Xbox better. I am happy that the madden challenge this year is finally on Xbox. I think my chances of winning are gonna be alot better. The converter site was pretty good cash.

Are you happy now? Anyways as I was stating before, I basically grew up on Sega, so I still prefer that the best. However, out of the consoles coming out today I'd say X-Box. As in my opinion it does have the best graphics. However, PS2 has a wider variety of games.

My fault Berkana, got caught offguard. Anyway. I did buy the XBOX this year because all the **** people talk about PS2 and it is a better system as of right now, haven't played Madden on it but everything else.
I remember Sega, it was the ****. NBA JAM and stuff like that we're just off the hook to play back in the day. Everyone was up on either NBA Jam, Mortal Combat, or something like that.

There are some issues with the xbox controller, but overall, I prefer the xbox over the ps2. Heck, I've played 2004 on the cube and it ran better than on ps2 because the tiny little gamecube has more graphical power than ps2.

I went down to the local store here where you can buy/sell/trade games and reserved a Xbox 360. I sat up there talking to the guys for a long time about the ps2 and Xbox. Everything they said made me want to get the new Xbox instead of waiting on the new PS. They told me the new PS is probably going to run $500 or more. Also, they both play online games A lot on both systems. They both said they prefer the Xbox over the PS.
I also happen to trust the opinion of the people here as I have gotten to know over the time I have been here and it seems the general opinion of them is that the Xbox is superior.
The Controller S for the xbox is my favorite controller ever (And I've basically owned them all...)
