Superstar Mode's Ideas To Make Better(Must See)
Superstar mode in Madden has been boring and lacking features that other games with career modes have that make the mode successful and realistic(MLB The Show Series). This thread is for people to post ideas on how to make this mode better because feeling the game's realism is what a career mode can easily accomplish.
1) The mode's difficulty setting should not determine whether it is easier or harder for your team to win the game, it should determine how easy or hard playing your position is. i say this because when playing with the Jets(me) against the Patriots, my team blew them out 66-0 on Rookie. But, on Madden-All Star, the game was much closer, and the Jets lost.
2) Deeper face customization should be integrated into creating your player. For example, blemishes, shape, width, and length(for head, arms, legs, etc.)
3) A more extensive training combine is needed.(new exercises each concentrating on a skill or necessity, such as passing, catching, strength, weight loss, speed, agility, durablity, tackling, etc.
4) A more personal look at your career should be done using a sports partner such as ESPN(similiar to NCAA Football 10's Road to Glory feature with Erin Andrews, and NFL 2k5's weekly Sportscenter shows); have brief Sportscenter or NFL Live shows highlighting games and plays of the week, stars, retirements, and season awards.
5) Goals set by your head coach.
6) Keeping the Movie Productions options to star in movies is fine, there should be sponsorships with huge brands such as Nike, or food companies such as a fast food restaurant or certain snack.
7) Interviews should be kept and used in the beginning of the season, ending, after playoff games, about issues you've discussed with your agent such as being traded, pay raise, etc, and about movies/pro bowl votes.
8) Player roles should be kept.
9) More accessories should be put in.
10) Player DNA feature(the feature that judges your potential) should be an option to be used when creating your player, but should not limit how good you can become in your career. If your parents both weren't athletes, it should only take longer to become a star. Instead of randomizing the traits of the parents, you should be able to decide the traits.
11) Should keep ability to be put on a video game cover.
12) Your player should be given a voice, via game presets or headset. This would enhance interviews.
13) NFL records should be accessible.
14) Should do the same background of living in an apartment, condo, house, or manchine depending on how much you are paid.
15) There should be options on how you want to decorate your house(such as team banners, not having to be the team you play for, have your own trophy/ring case, movie case of movies you starred in, and a record book noting your achievements.
16) You should be able to go back any point in your career to edit your player's appearance and number.
17) You should be able to have name audio so if an analyst is speaking of your highlights, your full name should be heard(personal request: put in the last name Nivar, it's not common). If your name isn't in the game, then the analyst can say your first or last name only, or you should be able to write the name out and have the computer learn the pronunciation by choosing pronunciation symbols to be read as a name.
18) Features should NOT be exclusive to a system.
19) The ego scale should be judged by actions on a field, such as taunting, TD celebrations, coach and fan interaction, and tone during interviews.
EXTRAS(OPTIONAL):
1) A line graph showing fan popularity.
2) Being able to attend photo shoots to be on covers of sports magazines such as Sports Illustrated.
3) Own trademark shoes if you're sponsored, for example, having shoes named after your nickname, number, or just your regular name.
