The simple fact is that he is a over rated piece of **** that can't cover. He makes bad reads on routes and lacks the ability to recover when he is beaten.
For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
I've said it once, I'll say it again, there never will be a rookie on the cover. But, I understand why you'd want Peterson on the cover, but they need to go defense, mainly the DBs. Look for someone like Asante Samuel to be the cover boy if that happens.

June 1st is technically the start of the New NFL year.
Vince young was announced as the cover player on April 17th. Technically when he was announced as the cover player he was still a rookie, but when the game was realeased then he wasn't anymore.
There will never be a player who hasn't taken an NFL snap on the cover of Madden.. They put those guys on NCAA.
But the whole reason Vince Young was on the cover was because he WAS a rookie the last football game he played in before the game came out.

Samual isn't the best DB in the game. I think hes just a system type player and thats hyw he may fail with the Eagles. The Best CB in the game in my view is Champ Bailey.
So who do you guys think is gonna make the cover? I change my guess to Micheal Strahan, because I remember watching this show about the Madden cover last year. They were discussions why he should make it, and he almost did. Plus Strahan has one of the most recognizable faces in NFL.

If the players were smart they would decline I know I would cause I dont want no part of the Madden curse. I would like to see a WR on the cover not to sure who just think it would be something different.
That is, if you don't believe in curses.
I'd like to see a lineman on the cover for once. Linemen don't get the respect they deserve, the cover always has flashy positions like QB,RB, and WR.

Out of the guys you mentioned i'd like to see Portis or Barber, either would be fine. CLinton can break the curse while Barber could prove it. Then again it would probably work the other way around.
Strahan is contemplating retiring. Personally, I don't know if he will our not. If he does he has a sports analyst job at any number of places, as he does a lot of that during the off-season.
It might be tempting, but we'll just have to wait and see. I hope he does come back. The guy is an amazing leader for our team and is still a great player.
Yes Patten, the always put QBs, RBs and WRs on there. All those WRs they have had on there...
I would actually like to see a WR on there, because I want them to focus on that part of the game. Id like to see Andre Johnson on there...Insanely underrated, even as a Titans fan, I have to admit that he is just a beast.

Well if they are talking about the running game then , well it will most likely be Adrian Peterson. Just the way he runs is amazing to watch plus if he stays health hes a great player.
