chhhhhhchanges

1. i said this before but playing a home game doesnt do much for me in madden. the crowds should get loud and force the defensive awareness to go up and the offensive to go down. otherwise who cares if you clinch homefield in the playoffs.

2. put an emphasis on monday night games. its the biggest game of the week, they should have a new way of broadcasting it.

3. why is the opposing teams qb throwing so accurate to the other side of the field when his skinny *** vision is on my side. cant do that with your qb on offense so why should the computer.

4. pleaseeeeeeeeeee fix the challenges. i keep getting ****ed over on catches that arent catches.

5. make it easier to jump up and pick/catch a pass. when you hit the Y button ( Xbox) you dont know if hes gunna float into the air or just put his hands up real quick. sometimes they even try and catch it with their body.

6. make this **** 4 players so its not just 1 on 1, and let people play on a team in francise mode.

the fact hat you can see what play you opponent can see what play your selcting in 2 player mode is down right stupid, it needs to be fixed

the only system ive seen that had that was the dreamcast. the memory card had a screen on it. and plugged into the controller which had an opening on the front. in two players if you had two of them the plays would pop up on your screen on your controller and not on the tv. tripped me out the first time i did it. i was lookin on the screen tryin to figure out why my plays werent there.

lol, yeah the Dreamcast broke through with that. I hate that on XBox you can see the plays. You have to play on trust (and we all know when Kilroy is losing he looks at my plays) hahahha. I still win anyways.

I hope they change the play picking on '08 as well as the glitches with catching and stuff sometimes.

now on the subject. i noticed on one of the ncaa games that when you recruit there were guys whose position was ath, for athlete. you could then decide what position you wanted him to play based on his skills. i would like to see this in the draft. as we all know there are guys like this who come into the game. antwaan randle el, matt jones, kordell stewart. i would like to see more of this. just somethin along the lines of sayin what pos he played but being able to go in and change it. like if you had a small fast linebacker and wanted him to play safety for you. you could change his positon to safety. it happens all the time between safety and linebacker, defensive end and linebacker, and qb and wr. so i would like to see this happen.

That would be awsome. Robert Curry from the Raiders was a QB converted WR as well. I think that would be great for Madden and you should be able to switch anybody to any position you want (like the older games) which they took out. I can't put a kicker as QB if I want to. Stuff like that was fun lol.

and also have some sort of system worked out for weight gain loss. dont know how they would do it but somehow they should. cause some O-lineman are just not the size that i would like. and would definitely help for my DTs. As i like big run stuffers in the middle. somewhere around the 340-360 range. that way my undersized quick linebackers can run around free. i usually use the bucs and i use alot of the cover 2 when i do. and the DTs are never big enough to stop the run on their own. so weight gain and loss should somehow be implemented.

lol yeah yeah yeah.

The O-Line thing...I think they had that one NFL 2K5 didn't they? I remember there was one that you could put them on weight gain or weight loss and it wouldn't improve their speed or effect it and stuff like that.

They should bring that to the Madden system.

they should but it should affect the speed. more weight less speed. less weight more speed. not much but if you implemented a formula so many pounds equals so many points of speed it could work. cause i like my big DTs and massive guards.

Yeah it did effect speed. I typed it wrong. We played it before, remember, you could train them and do exercises but we could never figure out what order did what to the players.

Weight Gain/Loss was one of the thing you could do.

Madden 2008 Innovations:

This might be posted already but i didnt see it...

OK here are my suggestions for madden 2008 xbox 360. I have been playing Madden and own each game from 95 to present.

- Please make the players stretch for the first down or the TD! Its so irritating to turnover on downs because my player didnt stretch or fight for the last inch.

-I feel the sideline awareness for the players desperately needs improvement. I am tired of making a short dump off passes to the flat and my player needing a good 5 yards to complete his turn upfield. Far too often they just run out of bounds.

- I also think popped passed should have guys diving for the pick as in real life.

- Possibly some tattoo work on the players could help.

- I also think madden needs to stick to what is popular. the fantasy draft was a huge plus for me, along with the ability to edit the players. i think they could throw out the rediculously difficult 40 yard dash in creat a player mode.

- The tackling needs some help.
- I hate how 170 lbs. DB's can lay out guys like Mike Alstott and bigger backs. That needs some work.

- Bring back the one handed catch... that was sweet.

- No more adding Hall of Fame players when I dont want them.

- I want the option of selecting optional uniforms too.

- The Draft needs help in the following areas: When I dont feel like sitting through the entire draft I want to simulate the draft up until my next pick, no the whole thing. I also feel the players in the draft need help with the skill level. Here is one of many examples: I dont think there are many wide recievers or running backs in the NFL that have a speed rating below 82. Its small but irritating.

- Gang tackling needs help.

- Better player accessories such as: Game towels, tattoos as stated before, high socks and low socks (the white part of the socks), untucked jerseys after takles, injury protection devices when a player is injured or coming off an injury. For example: shoulder harneses, casts, ankle tape.

- I also feel John Madden and Al Michaels should get back on the game although I know they cant do it forver.

- I like the idea of allocating players to Europe... and a more in depth off season schedule such as training camp in franchise mode. Bring back the hiring and firing of coaches like before.

I know this is long but I think there are many flaws in the game that need imporvement or things that got cut out that I feel made Madden so fun.

I want:

When a game has more time on it than the playclock and a team is romping another and the other team has no timeouts, you shouldnt have to kneel out the clock and wait, they should end the game and show Brett Favre walking off the field, and you should be able to recognize his boyish good looks and his love for the game found in the twinkle in his eyes.

Also, the CPU should shank more kicks, you should be able to make the occasional 60-63 yarder. Who are these AI queers kidding, Gary anderson isnt making any 54 yarders in a headwind, and Adam Vinateri is nearly automartic with any tailwind from anywhere under 61

I know that it has GOT to be in here somewhere but the AI needs to be improved in trading and drafting. BTW in madden '06 does the computre ever initiate trades among the other CPU controlled teams and the user.

Please, please, please!!

For the love of God, stop allowing my backs to run out of bounds when I throw to them in the flats!!! How long has this been a problem? Oh, yeah...forever! Ridiculous!! And why is it that only a WR can run a 40 in under 5.5 seconds? Who in the NFL is that damn slow? No one!!! Not even lineman! One more gripe: camera angles on Superstar mode...? Seriously, did they test this? Horrible.

I'm still a sucker for Madden, and will buy '08 on principle alone!!

You know i was playing a game of ncaa 06 at my friends and before we started he was oding some off season things and i noticed that they have a rating for potential i think that that would be a great addition to madden. I think that would make late rounders more effective who knows maybe a marcus colston could end up there with that rating.

Someone mentioned having a practice squad which I think would be an amazing addition. I would love to sign guys to my practice squad who I could develop over a time and then put on the active roster.

Having it so you do practices before each game in Franchise would be great too. Players who do well in practice can get a boost in stats for that game.

Have it to where you can prepare for certain players against your opponent coming up. If you're playing the Falcons, be able to have your receiver or a speedy practice squad QB 'play' as him. This should give you a boost against that particular player.

There could be several sections of practice, 1st and 10, 3rd and Short and Redzone and Goal Line. Again doing good in those sections means you'll get a boost on those particular things while you play your game.

I think it would be tremendously fun, and this way, having that 3rd Round QB you want to develop to start is easier than just doing Mini Camp drills once a year.

Lightbulb

Hey Cashpath here are some things I would love to have in superstar mode, superstar mode is the only thing i play on madden (xbox360) and i love it but i do have some suggestions.

-Ability to request a uniform number.
__________________________________
Madden 2008

-Be more into your position like be able to watch the offense play from the bench is you choose to. ( if your defense )
-Be able to have more of a life like post-game interviews, a social life a home stuff like that
-More accessories some stuff from MLB 2k7 is like having your number on your wristband and stuff

AND ONE REALLY REALLY BIG REQUEST could you make the anouncers be able to pronounce the last name "Augusta' ( uh-gust-uh ) that would be the coolest thing ever. I'm sick of being called #41 or something. Thank you

More Superstar Mode Suggestions
-Have your number or your team name on your eye black (I.E) Reggie Bush.

-One arm long sleeves such as like having your left arm have a full sleeve and the other arm have nothing.

-In the draft when you do every workout perfect and your guys a 95 rookie why can't he be drafted first round???

-More into the draft actually be able to see it! On 07 for the xbox360 it would just go to the next day and say what team your on.

-As you improve your career get better homes and stuff ( like they did on ps2 on 06 or 07 i forget )

-Better catching/intercepting system in '07 it was pathetic i missed at least 25 picks in one season from my guy just flailing his arms instead of trying to catch it

-Get freinds and stuff like if your a wide reciever and your QB never throws it your way if you could like bond with him in some way like go over plays together or work something out and then you and your QB were more successful that would be AWESOME

-Be a real defensive captain motivate people in the huddle give directions pump up your team (this would work the same for offensive captain as well)

Thats all i got for superstar mode right now Thank you for your time please take my thoughts and ideas into consideration Thank you very much Cashpath keep up the great work on madden !!!

I am also part of a community project to submit official wish lists to EA.

Well there are 6-7 Fan sites that they go to and get wishlist stuff from, but considering we are ranked #1 for Madden 2008 in google I am certain they saw our wishlists.

A few ideas

*PC version of NCAA 08 to incorporate rosters into Madden 08
(requires pc version of NCAA 08)
*More Realistic cutback/ juke/ spin moves
*Improved fumble scenarios*
(either a pile up or a bouncing ball)
*Pre Game and Halftime shows, postgame analysis
*Announcer can say all names of all nfl players and future draft picks
instead of numbers
*Better Tackling mechanics/ physics
*Trash Talking at the line of scrimmage (enhanced)
*Better player celebrations after a big play preferably with voice emotes
i.e. WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!/ POW! / GOTCHA PRETTY BOY / STAY DOWN SUNSHINE
*In depth scouting of college prospects
*More Realistic draft days
*Hall Of Fame/ Retired Jerseys/ Player Tributes- increasing the moral of the football team (i.e. Jerry Rice retiring in San Francisco)
*Better Crowd Reaction to plays
*Improved Weather/ Lighting effects, affecting player performance.
example- someone drafted out of hawaii should have trouble in windy snow chicago
*Expanded Playbook available with hot reads and audibles
*Improved hot routes
*Mel Kiper Jr is not included
*Players have character issues like pac-man jones/ terrel ownes/ joey porter
*Coaches and the type of coach have a high impact on character problems
*Expansion Teams to be voted for addition to the league in Franchise
*Created Teams available in franchise mode
*Franchise mode has OPTIONAL owner mode
*Improved AI
*Less Dramatic hit stick/playmaker (very much agreed)
*Fake Audibles
*Player Signature moves
*Jump Ball
*Coverage (cornerback/safety) mechanics improved
*More Realistic 3, 5 step drops
*Superstar mode needs much improvement or scrapping
*Better Draft Classes
*Fans become unpleasant
*Incorporate Terrible Towel/ Sea Of Road/ Dawg Pound/ Raiders fans (lol)
and other team associated items into stadiums
*Fans boo unpopular players
*interviews are optional for every starter on every team (answering multiple choice questions)
*Confusion In Secondary
*Confusion On Offense (blocking scheme's, Routes, Running Back hits wrong hole)

I got no more

I have some wishes of my own for the PlayStation versions.

First, you can trade your next year's draft picks during the draft (ala Cleveland's trade with Dallas to get Brady Quinn).

Second, what the heck was so wrong with hitting X twice to kick a field goal or punt? I know they wanted to do something with the right analog stick, but I still find myself accidently pushing the X button, especially when I haven't played in a while.

Third, better draft skills. I love fast RBs, LBs and DBs. I REALLY get honked off when I draft 7 RBs with a Speed of 78 or lower three years straight. There's WAY too many wide receivers with a Speed lower than 82 (and why do they always seem to go to the ProBowl)! And what's up with rag armed QBs?

Fourth, more small school players (Iona, Hofstra, Utah St., Southern Illinois).

Fifth, more realistic stats. Rag arm QBs throwing for 4200 yards, 28 TDs and 4 INTs? Super slow RBs racking up 1300 yards? I've seen this happen WAY too much!

Sixth, some way to boost your wide receiver's Awareness. I don't have much time to play Madden (I'm sure my fellow married guys can relate), so I play one or two games a season, then skip to the offseason (I love trying to build teams). I'm sure that if I play each game, my wides' Awareness will skyrocket, but when I skip the seasons, their Awareness never goes up from the time I draft them untill they retire. What the heck...!?

And, last but not least, goodbye Tony Bruno, hello Colin Cowlherd! Please dump this douchebag and get someone with talent (Colin Colwherd, for example). Its also frustrating to hear Brandon Lloyd still talking to Tony on year 18. Maybe add some other people to the list of call-ins. I'd love to hear Mike Ditka's take on the goings on within the league. Also, some "time sensitive" calls. I laugh everytime I hear that one guy going off about the Patriots dynasty when its Year 12 and the Patriots haven't been in the playoffs since Brady retired 4 years ago.

Okay, so I lied. Here's another one. Add Terre Haute, Indiana to the list of Relocation Cities! Okay, that was more for comedy than anything else...

I agree with a lot of the previous posts and have tried to shy away from repeating others ideas except if I feel its really needed.

The gameplay in Madden 2007 on Playstation 2 is the downright best. Even the controls were perfect.

WHY DID IT HAVE TO CHANGE FOR PS3?

My suggestion for Madden 08 on PS3 in addition to a lot of the great ones posted above is to bring the controls and gameplay back toward the Playstation 2 version. The graphics are awesome except that some of the players look nothing like what they realy look like (i.e. Philip Rivers).

Lastly, please add the ability to edit players because some of the ratings given are just freaking wrong!!

create a player

on ps3 it needs to be so when you create a player you chose its stats intead of running your guy through drills, the drills dont make sense to alot of people the highest i seen some1 get on 40m yard time is 5.11 an on bench press 11 just please make it so you just chose the stats, because creating a player was pretty pointless on madden 2007 highest guy i created was 61 overall

lol, making your own stats is gay first off.......thats cheap.

Second, I ran (on PS3) a 4.40 (4.39 is perfect) several times, I benched 48 (average atleast 41), I've thrown perfect on the QB challenge, I've done pefect on the WR challenge......you have to learn to play the game.

Making your own stats isn't any fun at all.

Have you ever checked to see if the team you were trading with actually needed the guys you were trying to give?

I mean... If I had Bailey and Newman I don't think I'd care to have another starting corner no matter if he was a 99 OA

Computer is... Well it's smart enough to see it anyway.

proof

example of player grading:

i tried trading clinton portis to the bears for cedric benson
and cedric benson was rated a grade higher then clinton portis

then i added 1st round draft picks to get benson then they accepted

then i tried trading cedric benson back to the bears to get my clinton portis back and clinton portis was rated higher then cedric benson

plz fix this

( i only tried this trade as an example for everyone..lol)

i think players should just be able to jump in steade of dive..like when ur using a running back sometimes you wish you can just jump...over a defender trying to leg tackle you or when a defender tries to dive an tackle you from behind... i think this would make alot of people happy bieng able to jump when they please

Why would you do that??? You just felt like giving the Bears a 1st rounder??
