Madden 08 Wishlist
Madden 07 for PS3 is a good game, but not a great one. Here are SOME suggestions that might make for a better game in 2008.
1. Fantasy Draft in Franchise Mode - I dont know why they took this out. It was so simple yet so much fun. A fantasy draft should be placed back into Madden 2008.
2. Realistic Player Celebrations/Movements - In NBA Live you can shoot like Shawn Marion, Kevin Garnett, LeBron James etc...So in Madden, why shouldn't the players celebrate like their real life counterparts? When Shawne Merriman sacks someone, he should do his dance. The same with Michael Strahan and Ray Lewis when they make big plays (or for Lewis, coming out of the teams tunnel)
3. Realistic Player Tackling - Cornerbacks should not be able to "Hit Stick" Tight ends or big wide recievers. There is no way Shawntae Spencer of the 49ers should be able to lay out Tony Gonzalez. If players are weaker and not great tacklers, then the hit stick should not be affective as if they were Bob Sanders, Sean Taylor or Roy Williams.
4. Bring Back Training Camp - In madden 07 for ps2, the Training camp was great before every season. you can pick from the mini games and make a certain player better. I think that should be brought back to the Franchise Mode.
5. Create-A-Player - Please bring back the normal create a player where you can input the players stats. I believe it is just easier and more fun, that way you can create more people. Also, the player needs better and more facial features. Instead of faces already inputted into the game, have options for eyes, facial hair, eyebrows, etc...and the color of each.
6. Bring back Al Michaels and John madden. They brought something to Madden that no other football game had. Great announcing. Sure it gets repetitive at time, but its better than some unknown "Radio Broadcaster".
madden 2007 is a good game for new-gen, but i am not a huge fan of change. If these simple things are fixed for madden 2008, i feel that it will be a MUCH better game, with the same gameplay on ps2/xbox and the new graphics on ps3/360.
