well i have been reading forums upon forums upon forums for the past month and a half. i have searched long and hard and here are some no one has said.
1) hasnt anyone played rushing attack and hasnt anyone ever wanted to use like lavar arrington when they are washington but they have to use the redskins mlb instead (i think it is like marshall or something). they shood let u pick the mlb u want and the db u want to.
2) not many people know this but my friend figured this out. if u are in a strong or two back set and you look at the play when u are at the line with the icons u can tell what u or the person u are playin is doing. if the regular running back has L1 (on ps2; works for xbox too) that is a pass. if he has a R1 that means it is a run. one of my other friends was one of the top 3 in our group of friends in 05 and ran the strong and two back set a lot. then once we figured it out in 06 he was one of the worst. this needs to be fixed!!!!!!
3) how is it possible for a receiver to catch the ball and not even be looking at the qb or the direction of the ball. at least have them turn around.
4) this year u all know that they came out with the precision passing, which was great and all but it made the corners/safetys look ****ing ridiculous!! if you wood do a curl and throw it up to a big reciever with good jumping ability such as randy moss or plaxico burress they wood turn on a dime and catch it and the db's were still running down field for some dumb reason. they need to make the db's be able to at least have a chance at knocking it down or something.

ok ive listened 2 u guys "rant" for about a month and a half and now its my turn!! EA.... i dont have alot of wants...well actualy i do but i will only dicuss a few 4 right now. ok im tired of playing a game with ai playing with their thumbs up their... well up their bums!!! on punts i select punt return and my "blockers" wathcing me either catch the ball and get mauled by the defenders that blew by the blockers or i fumble the ball (because the punt returners cant catch) in wich case the defense picks up the ball after blowing by my "blockers" , in wich case i get pi**ed and ruine my $25-$35 controller!!!!!!! oh and why is it that in real life i see guys block a punt or kick and get a touchdown while inn the game i can NEVER block a punt or kick and the kicks are always good!!!! this realy ticks me off!!! EA ever heard of botched snaps? the snaps are never always good! have some botched even on kicks and punts!!! and the draft needs to improve here are some ideas for that
Have maybe Mel Kiper or Rick Eisen,mike mayock and adam shefter report the best pick on the board who would be the best for wich team and mabe why that team picked that person or wether they will be able to use him right away or after a awhile. but please do anything but nothing or the fans booingh and cheering!! oh and you should be able to try to talk people who are retiering out of it like in "ESPN NFL 2K5" or be able to trade picks from next year and have more than 10 picks!! and free agency should start at the start of the offseason and end at the end of the offseason like in real life!!! Oh and a minor adjustment use Bill Belickeck not Ne coach or Bill parcell instead of some black Dallas Coach!! ...juking need to be improved and wr recieivers with a good speed should do better against db's with lower speed!! i will have more on that and many other things l8er but for now i want to see what you guys think of this "rookies" thoughts on wut needs 2 b improved!!! have fun
I agree with you comments. Why can't they block on punt returns and kickoff returns. They need have bad snap and miss xp for the ai. The field condition needs to have a big effect on the games. Slip and sliden and wet ball fumbles and wet hands have a hard time catching passes. The radio is a wasted. It is hard to block punts and field goals. The sliders thing sucks.
I don't know about anybody else but 06 on 360 was disappointing on the defence side of the ball.this made the game really high scoring and not realistic that secondary really needs work in the A.I. department
Well I do not look much a forums but I do play Madden on every format. To add to Panther Fans comments about how receivers against slow Db's rate. I feel this is for any players in the game. You could do a sweep to the outside with Corey Dillon or Brian Westbrook and all defensive players are blocked but somehow the defenses tackle runs you down and tackles you. On the same note you could catch an out route and turn up field with with Moss or Owens and a linebacker runs you down. I feel there should be some distinct separation as to the speed and ability of the players. This way it would actually take some defensive thought to match ups when you half to go against a Moss or Owens, or when you half to face Michael Vick and his running ability. You could actually work on getting a mismatch on the offensive side by motioning your players and the defense being burned by speed or ability. I just feel that the difference in the game now between a 80 speed and a 95 speed are not really that distinct when the rating number is significantly different. The players with a 95-100 speed should have some type of break away speed from the pack unless a Db is rated something similar.
i agree with everything said. but the thing that annoys me most, and the reason i have quit playing madden now, is the AI. the best example is when you run crossing routes and the receivers get stuck on eachother, or they get stuck on some LB just sitting there. or even on the ref sometimes. another example is when a DE is going zone, and my WR is running a post. wr pivots 40 degrees to start his slant, but gets caught up in the DB whos going in a zone and gets thrown off route, trying to get past this DB. i throw the ball in the midst of this, and the ball flies right by my receiver. ok, no big deal, def. pass interference right? no. no penalty, nothing. because the AI is dumb it doesnt recognize the pass interference because there wasnt any technically, the ai just got screwed. things like this happen constantly. and how does some DB dive 7 feet suddenly to bat away a ball. or why does my receiver just stand after his there with the DB in front of him while the ball is in the air. these guys need to be SMART, a receiver as dumb as the guys in madden wouldnt even qualify euro league... it is extremely annoying. if the ai got fixed then the game would actually be fun. also, how does a 5'11, 89 speed 73 jump CB keep up with my 7'0, 99 speed WR and then jump 6 feet in the air to knock away a high lob right over the top of my receiver's head. all this is why i dont play anymore. cheers.
no, he was running along with my receiver to go into his deep zone. thats where the glitch was. he was going his own way, but my receiver couldnt get past him cause madden AI is dumb
Well... at least you know you aren't mentally retarded. Because I think you would have to be to not see the AI in a game as 'dumb'. The day the AI in a $50 video game starts seeming smart to you.. admit yourself to a mental ward.
