Ok so everyone has thier idea of how the scouting and combine should work.. from stupid ideas about running drills to determine a players attributes to watching them run (Huh? How long will that last I want to watch this guy run stuff)
Here is my idea.
1) During the combine scouting YOU should be able to take control of the player and run drills with him.. should be real drills they run in the combine, The W, the short shuttle, passing drills catching drills the 3 cone drill. Now doing this will not determine the players stats, no they are already determined, but what it does do is give you a feel for how this player will be when you take control of him. What kind of passes does he throw? Does his movement feel right to you? Maybe he is a little to slow or not agile enough for you to play him. Actually playing the player will let you know if he will be useful to you.
2) Free agent work outs... You should be able to do the same with free agents, bring them in for a workout run them through some drills and make sure you like the guy before you sign him.

Those are some great ideas. Ive signed running backs in FA before and then got them and couldnt run them to save my life cause they just didnt have that extra little burst of speed, or agility or break tackling capability that i like them to have.
I think EA should hire Cash. We would be able to do away with wishlists, cause there would be nothing we could possibly ask for that the game wouldn't provide for us.
***I would love to see Madden say some new stuff, lol same things he said since madden came out.
***It has to be the crowd, Home field advantage should be a big thing, in the game now it doesn’t matter where you play.
***New catching maybe actually being able to catch one handed or by diving for the ball.
( if you miss sometimes it looks incredibly unrealistic, especially when it goes right through the players head or back or hands.)
***People in Franchise Mode to be like a T.O. who causes problems to handel and people on the team get arrested or suspended for stuff.
***New Celebrations (including Traditional celebrations like the Lambo Leap. Or Mile High Salute or the thing Larry Johnson does with his hands if not already included.)
***how bout for superstar mode if you play only as you. Or at least you could let us choose to do that if we want .
***instead of having a sports center report have NFL Total Access with Rich Eisen weekly highlights of games and news
***offseason add NFL Europe just to send players to play
***add the senior bowl (it is ran by the NFL) and mabye practice witht the players on super star maode.
***or just have Total Access cover the senior bowl with practice highlights and the game highlights on franchise mode.
***have Total access cover the combine, actually show the drills
***and on super star mode you could accually be in the combine.
***and have Total Access cover the draft and have rich eisen actually talk about the selections instead of a boo or applause from crowd.
***And in the draft there should accually be people that can help your team and they should talk about the big name players on franchise mode like in the news paper and maybe on NFL total access like they do about Reggie Bush and Matt Lienart and Jay cttler and Vince Young and all them and the could accually help your team.
***And the other teams should offer a trade to you and it should be a big deal when someone is traded like when Cullpepper or Moss was & when People get Realesed & signed.
***Also, the player rating systems are a bit vague... and I don't think they really show the value each player can bring. Granted players like Peyton Manning are going to be rated 99, but as good as Ed Reed is, I don't think he should be a 99, or Ray Lewis for that matter either.
A player like Brandon Stokely, not a bad reciever, but it could easily be argued his numbers are purely the doing of Manning, shouldn't be rated as high as a player like Santana Moss, Aquan Boldin or Larry Fitzgerald, which he is very close to.
***don't let the superstar, a 3rd round draft pick no less, have control over the entire team.***And bring back playmaker
***And in super star mode if we want to play QB then we should be able to pick of we are a scrambling or a pocket QB or if we want to play running back we should pick if we wanna be like a power or a speed back. same with every position we should have a certain number of attributes to put where ever we want but we need enough to be able to make us good and not a crappy player *Maybe have like an NFL legends team NFC and AFC team
And you should be able to create a team and put it on franchise mode and not replace a different team
And at the end of the season it should tell who the MVP is.
And lastley the should make a more big deal of the super bowl and the half time show and the after trophy give away thing when they talk on stge and anounce the MVP and ahow them getting the car and all that.
the ability to take a combine player/free agent through mini camp drills is amazing. if possible this needs to go directly to ea. kudos to you for this.
