players playing multiple positions / bring back the Season Mode
In madden 04 you could move a player at any position on the depth chart. if you wanted gilbert brown to play quarterback you could, or if you wanted a kicker to be an offensive tackle it would let you. but on 05 only a few players can play another position. so madden 06 should go back to the way they had it in 04 and allow any player to play any position.
In real life there also isn't a required number on how many players you need at each position. makes it hard to update your rosters that way. If you want one qb on your team then it should let you do that. if you want a team of qbs only ,which wouldn't be smart, then it should let u do that as well in 06.
Should also make it to where you can change the players position in the edit player screen. In 05 Dwayne Carswell for the Denver Broncos is listed as an offensive tackle. He was orginally a tight end before but was moved to OT in preseason because of his weight and his blocking skills. But later in the season he was moved back to tight end. In 05 though tackles can be also play tight end so that worked out well, but there wasn't enough tight ends to cover the required number since he is listed as a tackle on the game. So in 06 you should be able to change a players position he plays which does happen in the NFL.
More rookies and undrafted free agents should be added to the game. There always seems to be a rookie play well in the NFL and then be missing from the game. Sometimes good veterans are left out as well. so in 06 they should make more players and at least place them in the free agent pool for people that like to keep the rosters more up to date.

So they should put both versions on 06. I don't like using franchise as much where it seems like too many players retire, and don't care much for using the made up players. but anyways it sounds to me like what you want is arcade style. where you can do logical things. the fact is madden is a simulation of real life. perhaps hey should have arcade options fro upsnalyits not what after. because in reality. you want a well balanced team hence the breakdown. in reality people retire. in reality there is an offseason. if oyu dont want reality i suggest a game like i dont know...nfl street maybe...but thats not what im after....

You sure about that? I can't on my Madden. I mean, DE to DT, DT to DE, OLB to MLB, MLB to OLB, stuff like that, sure...but if you want to have a WR play CB, a la Troy Brown, you can't. Also, if you draft an extremely fast QB and feel he would be better at WR...like Antwan Randle El...you can't do that either. I think stuff like that is what he was getting at...

does anyone know if they have a website that has players that aren't on the game and shows what their attribute numbers are? like how to create them the way they should be
Yeah, I do wish you could switch the palyers to different posistions (realistically speaking) I don't care to have Warren Sapp at CB or anything but realistic ones like Troy Borwn...as for season mode...why is all I can say...
