My #1 I think is pretty obvious and has been stated many times - Online franchise

2. multiplayer online
3. Ranked Series for rushing Attack ie best of 7
4. A way to change playbooks online
5. a way to check out your opponent before u accept a challenge
6. not sure if this is possible but Mutisystem play. Ie if i want to run an off line franchise, tournament or playoff and want to use multiple systems i would like to be able to (i guess this would be similar to an online franchise). or even come out with a home madden server or something...but this may be a topic for another product or thread for another day so i will stop #6 here.
7. more surprise picks in later rounds of the draft would be great or players with low ratings that have incredible progressions in the preseason and 1st regular reasons regular season
8. Maybe a hidden motivation rating (may already be there but it's hidden so i 'm not sure it's there) to have more driven players.
9. off season conditioning/trainging camp add on to increase strength and speed, accelleration and other categories which in real life a person can change but very rarely change in the game. one way to do this could be use that hidden motivation and have random off season events...player work hard to gain a little musle or shave a tenth or couple of hundreths off their 40 time to give them slight advantages for the next season. it would be cool if theis were random.
10. To go along with #9 more off seasn player events...some positive and some negative. these could be something said, done, or have them involved with. whatever it is could effect the team morale as well as the player's ability to progress or be available during the season. I figure you can only get so real with this wish before you tick off the NFL but it would make you think about character.
11. Tougher free agent/hold negotiations player wants more than they are worth...( could be tied into character ratings or type or Agent) give players agents! one way this could be done is to make them like draft picks....have what their previous year's rating is and then rerank them at the beginning of the Training camp. This is how it is in real life...sometime players don't fit a system well and therefore aren't as good or just don't play at a level that they did before while others turn out to be worth twice what you paid for them. add some mystery to free agent signs like with drafting only obviously not as dramatic since there is some track record of performance.
12. Add options for signing free agents like giving coaches/owners ways to schmooze free agents....like fly them in or fly out (can't think of any more right now but i'm sure they are out there). basically more ways to get that green bar up for you. Also you could have an email from your coach making suggestions on one or two free agents he might like to see signed)
13. Ability to trade picks in future years.....at least 2 or 3 years down the road (obviously with actual limitations of the NFL).
14. More contract options...i.e. incentives..more flexable like front loaded contract vs always have back loaded contracts. option years. There could even be a GM level just like there is for playing the game easy normal and advanced so that some of these more complicated options are available but not forced.
15. Less happy players. every year free agency destroys half the teams in the nfl. players move...let make it so here....maybe not quite to the extent of the NFL obut closer.
16. Same thing with injuries...I'd like to see more injuries in all modes (sim, play, sim watch, coach) in franchise mode. That way someone who trades away all their picks to have all 90's starting would fall over from a critcal injury and no depth....teams with depth win in the NFL have the patriots taught us nothing?
17. more stamina effect on Players....especially late in the game...if i run jamal lewis 30 times in the first 3 quarters the D line should be pretty gased by the 4th (unless you have depth ;-). maybe even have 2 separate ratings like stamina for how long u can recover to full and conditioning which could be how many plays or how much energy you use before you have to take a breather.
18. More coaching Sliders so if we ware simulating the game we can be more specific with our sttyle of attack on offense and defense.
19. Make practice during franchise mode mean something. run a practice...in which you pick a focus or two for the week. the coorindator of the focus (ie passing game, play action, running game, trap plays, run blitzing, pass blitzes, zones, man to man, general defense, general blocking, pass blocking just to name a few possible options) would all be reported on by the coordinator with some sort of grade (number, letter or comment like good bad, very bad, great or something like that) and individual performace and grade and you can adjust your game plan accordingly. heck we pay these guys lets put them to work.
20. more aware offensive linemen. Glitch blitzes are the work of the devil and beatable but rushing a 3 man line and one blitzer should not throw reduce my pocket time to 2 seconds every time u run it. Also in general if someone run a play several times in a row can we please have some help from the players who have seen it the previous four times maybe anticipating it a little. I think if a play is run more than four times (probaby less than that) in a game it should be snuffed out.
21. did good on 2005 on increasing trick plays please continue to add in more with fake trick plays.

I think that is all. if i think of anything else i will add it. I tried to pretty much stay away from things already said....if i didn't just ignore that/those parts. I mainly focused on the franchise mode because i think they can get the franchise online mode done....I have faith....and that is why it is number one on my line. if so I hope to see you all in franchise mode in '06!

ps - all the bells and whistles of the other game just aren't the same....they're nice....but the core of madden is game play (and improvements to owner/GM mode) and that is what makes it so great. Viva La Madden!

on the EA server for ps2 you can not switch playbooks online....xbox live i'm guessing is probably more like playing with someone sitting next to you. on the ea server there are lot of safeguards against cheaters and game geniesand sharks so there may be something to that....also now that i think abot it i don't think i have ever played a non ranked game on line before, at least not on '05. I may try that tonight.
