Player Locks

I wish that you can lock your self to a position (ex. O Line, WR) so that you can actually spend the whole game blocking or running routes.

Can't you already do this? Lock yourself to a certain position.. I'm not sure if you can, but I thought you could..correct me if I'm wrong...

As far as I've checked you cant, but who knows maybe there's some way. If there is somebody please say so.

No... you always could in the NBA Live and March Madness, but never in football. Jimmy, I think this is a good idea. It would come in handy when I'm playing with my cousins.

Must've been thinking of these games then, I knew you could in one of the EA Sports games, for some reason I thought it was Madden.. Thanks for correction IS.

Wait... actually now that I looked at it there's this thing on the side of the select play screen. It says Man Lock On L1, and Man Lock Off R1. I didn't try it, but I'm not sure what it is... Maybe I was wrong, maybe there is one. I'll try it out next game.

There is a man lock setting.. it locks you on a player Sort of.. like if you play the ROLB then call a nickel it will make you the nickel back..

But it works.. somewhat

i thought that the man lock option was for changing or not changing assignments w/ the motion.

i had a idea last year where you start in high school and work your way up to college and then to the pros... after high school u can only go to a college that offer u an Sc-ship. then whoever u get drafted by you play for that team, but u can demand a trade... and you can control you or the whole team whatever way

see now that is awesome..it would be cool to be just one player ....but sadly that probley wont happen for a long time..maybe xbox 2 ps3?

if tht happened that would be a great game bt i dought it would ever happen for ps2 or xbox but mebe for liek a computer game liekTPB and OOTP

no no ...xbox 2 game.,..didnt u see the madden glimpse? if they can do that they can do this ....my computer sucks to bad for games...o wait! ...lol xbox 2 the most exspensive one can be used as a comp too ....guess that means it could happen on xbox 2 !!

That does sound like it would be a great game. Especially if you could play your highschool games, and college games. Also would u rather just be able to be the player or to be the whole team.

yeah it would rule...you can do something called coach mode...which means when the play starts, you cannot change after the snap....but dont think that works for O.

What does that actually do Cash??? I have it on but it isnt locking to any specific position,

I just leaves you on a position while you are on that partiular side of the ball so lets say you are a OLB then you run a play then the next play you will be there again.. Lets say you were the ROLB then you call a nickel you would be on the nickel back..

Ahh I see. I meant for my wish to be able to play as one position all game (mostly would be used for offence)

i thought that you get to chose either control one player or the whole team
