I've been playing with Vick lately and I found something else they need to change. They need to make seperate buttons for the QB slide and the dive button. When I want to slide he dives and usally fumbles before he hits the ground.
I think it hs to do with if your sprinting at the time or now. (Meaning if your sprinting and hit the Slide button at the same time then I think he dives or something like that)

I've tried but it doesn't work. It's supposed to be pressure senitive. The problem is sometimes it will slide with a tap and then other times it dives when u do the same kinda tap. I wish they would just redo the buttons.
All pretty good ideas. Other than what you already have, the best idea is:
1. Less John Madden. I can't stand him, or either of the announcers. They are so repetative, but Madden more than the others (including NBA and NCAA football). Some of the things they say are quite obvious and just stupid. I'd like it if they added the option of taking out the commentary and just adding music, which brings me to my next improvment:
2. Larger playlist, kind of like the ones on Tony Hawk, however less Rap or "hip hop". Even though some people do like it, football's music is like hard rock. (and Rap for basketball).
3. Better cutscenes. After your team wins, they always do have the same reactment, unless it's a Super Bowl/ playoff game. Big wins should be celebrated differently than blow outs, and are.
Also, ESPN features aren't going to be in 2006. Since their current contract doesn't run out until January 1 2006, EA got a contract with them after it ends. There might be small features introduced from the ESPN series but I doubt it .
i always thought it would be cool if they had a single person franchise mode... where u choose one player to play in a franchise... create a player and start from draftday... or choose an actual player and play as them... sign contracts with teams, sit out and watch team on sidelines, sit out due to few playing times... this would be a good thing to have first person view for... or could just have a close up view of the player ur playing... it would be nice to play as one player and become a probowler, mvp, even hall of famer... they could even have stats from guys who have retired so that u can pass those guys up too... i think this mode would be taking it to the next level...
instead of choosing position battles, u would be in it.... go through training camp etc....
1. Id like to see more realistic DB coverages. I mean I dont know how many times Andre Johnson has at least 3 yards on a CB but amazingly the CB jumps 5 feet in teh air and 4 yards forward to break up my deep pass
2. Smarter CPU coaches. Maybe this is just my game but why is Eli Manning still 2nd string to Kurt Warner after 3 years into my franchise, Elis rating has dropped because he has never started an NFL game. Try to make it so that if ur grooming a young QB, he gets a chance to start even if the old QBs rating is like 4 points ahead of his.
3. I want some draft busts. Like Ryan Leaf type busts, like if a player gets drafted and has a bad coach or is in the wrong scheme, his attributes drop drastically in the 1st cuple of crutial NFL seasons. You could also have draft suprises like 4th round RBs who come in and rush for over 1000 yards (Dominick Davis was a 4th round rb and won the NFL.com rookie of the year). I hate when all the teams are loaded with talent because all of their 1st rounders turn out to be superstars, and none of the later round picks ever develope.
4. Position drills that we can do to scout rookies after the combine, or maybe even inviting a few rookies to private workouts at your facilities. They could make it so that you could only test or invite so many rookies and the rest of them you would have to just go with what the scouts say. I dont know how many times ive drafted someone who had all the intangibles just to find ouit that they were worthless. Ive had CBs that were 6-1, ran a 4.35, had a 38 vericle and pretty decent strenght to come and find out that they have nearly no awareness and couldnt catch a pick if it landed in their laps.
5. I would also like CPU intiated trades, where their is a message that pops up and says, New Orleans is proposing a trade for such and such, do you except.
I think that we should be able to put players at diffrent postions such as troy brown did at New England when switching from WR to DB. of course they ratings will drop because thats not there main position. I think they need to add a story mode in addition to Franchise Mode. In Story mode you should be able start in Ncaa football were you work your self up to a ultimate player and how you do in games and how hard you work your self up determines what round you will get drafted. Then you take it to Madden were you work on your game some more and try to take your team to the super bowl and become a hall of famer. you would get the choice of wanted to be traded demanded more money, and using your money for medical bills when you get seriously injured or if want to upgrade your house, work out to improve strength, run to improve stanima and using it for private work out sessions. you also can be cut, decide to become a free agent or signing with the team again or retire. Or retire because of injury. Thats just few of my ideas
2. Larger playlist, kind of like the ones on Tony Hawk, however less Rap or "hip hop". Even though some people do like it, football's music is like hard rock. (and Rap for basketball).
.
I think there should be an even amount, I myself can't really stand rock, and if you ask a lot of people, (maybe that's just my area) they'll prefer more rap songs on the next madden.
Some ideas:
Halftime- YYT
U Don't Know Me- T.I.
Dem Boyz (Tehre should be a Madden Remix for this)- BTH
Like Me Remix- Pastor Troy and D4L
Personally, I agree with with Gym Class Hero. When I think of football, I think of smashmouth style's of play, hard hits, and great catches. To me, Rap and football just don't mix. I'd much rather have Madden with a rock soundtrack and leave it to the NBA to have the Rap tracks, because it's more fitting.
