I think that in Madden 2005, if you don't have owner mode on, you should be able to make no trade deadline. I hate it when I see a player that can help my Super Bowl run that I can trade for, but the friggin trade deadline is only Week 6 and im in Week 7!

but if u take it off thats takeing away the realism!!!!!! and what was keeping u from "discovering" this player before the trade deadline came?!?

Well maybe one of my starters got injured and I needed a good starter that is not rated a 60.

The best part of this game is that it's a portrayal of real football. In real football you can't trade after week 6, so you shouldn't be able to in madden. In fact I think it's too easy to get big players in the game. you shouldn't be able to trade your #1 pick for mike vick, that would never happen.

I agree with you Liverbean. It's all about realistic football, otherwise, play NFL Blitz.

Yeah, but if you just wanted to have some fun you should be able to advance the trade deadline like in hockey and baseball if you are making a post-season run you can still trade all the way until around the last several weeks.

dude i just checked it out and u can turn off the trading deadline even in owner mode so i dont see why everyone is complaining about it not being an option!
