I have both the Wii and I recently bought a 360. If you ask anyone on this board who has been here a while they will vouch that I was hardly quick to go out and get the 360. I couldnt afford it for starters.
But Ill tell you this, the difference between the Wii and the 360 is like the difference between watching the AFL and NFL. Its in a whole different league.
I went out and bought the 360, Madden 09, Fifa 09, Gears of War 2 and Halo 3. And since someone recently gave me Rainbow 6. It cost me something like 260 for all those and 4 controllers and it was money very very well spent. I play it all the damn time with my mates, particularly Halo and Fifa (I would play Madden with them but I only have one friend who is any good, the rest are no hopers).
I dont play it all that much by myself, but thats more to do with the fact that Im quite busy at the moment.
As far as Madden 09 goes, I think it can no doubt be improved upon. But the gameplay is brilliant, it flows well, feels pretty realistic and is just down right fun to play. There are faults with Progression, crashing after doing training drills, arguably bad QBs for the O play slightly unrealistically so...But to be honest with you, I think if you can afford it, or if you are working a job and will be able to afford it if you spend a little more tightly for a few weeks, its an upgrade you DEFINITELY have to make.
The only reason I would ever miss with the Wii is Mario Kart and the fact I can play it with my 5 year old brother....If the 360 disappeared Id miss it for its gameplay, graphics, games, mutliplayer fun etc etc. Its an inifinitely better console and ultimately, has longevity.
And I dont even have it online yet...
