Issues with the new-gen Madden Series...
Okay, so i've been an avid player of the Madden franchise since 2000. I have played each version to a great extent. I am just wondering why the new-gen versions have gone backwards from their old-gen counterparts.
Here are a few issues i have and am just curious as to why these are as they are...
-I'll start with Franchise Mode. Franchise mode is terrible on 09 for 360. For starters, there is not owner mode. Player re-signings is just click and sign, zero negotiating. Free Agency is rather difficult to negotiate because there is no indicator as to how the player feels about your offers. Most of all though what annoys me is randomy marquee players will be free agents at the start of the season. It seems like every other franchise i do, Peyton Manning is a free agent to start year three. I don't understand.
-The A.I. is just morons on every level. The PS2/Xbox versions were so much fun to play. Game speed was quick, players were smart, qb vision was great. The computer could manage the clock. On this version of madden they are terrible at it. Their two minute offense consists of running a normal offense until there are 61 seconds left, then they call a timeout no matter where they are. QBs never throw incompletions.
-Kicking is much too easy.
-There are things i love about it, like the graphics, and the way the playrs collide is nice and realistic, stadiums are greatly detailed. I just don't understand why they leave such simple aspects out of an otherwise great game.
Any answers or comments would be appreciated.
thanks.
