I've been playing madden for about 45 games online. i am currently 16-16, but should easily be 30-15. in the other 15 games, I "have lost connection to an opponent." This only seems to happen when i am up by 2 touchdowns or more? I don't get it. Why cant this happen when i am losing?
My roomate says there is a way to unplug the connect. to force a disconnect without getting a loss on either player's record. Is this true?
I don't get it- why should i get ABSOLUTLY NOTHING for the last hour and 1/2 i have been playing with a 45-7 lead in the 4th quarter with 1:20 to go, and the game before - a 21-7 lead with just the 4th quarter to go?!?!?!?
The connect is not the problem - I have also played Call of Duty and NHL 09 without EVER being disconnected. Ughh... anyone else have this happen to them?
Live and die by the Disconnect. I feel your pain. I have about 20 wins I was robbed of because of this. By the same token, I have also been spared about 10 losses. Not all of these D/C are tampering. I have been losing badly, then all of a sudden, I am D/C... I get the typical F*****G, P***Y, F*G, email from the person I was playing, but it wasn't me - I don't glitch nor D/C - sometimes it really does just happen. I have a couple indicators for this also.
1. The game starts with silence. No announcers until kickoff. 1 of 3 of these games d/c.
2. The outside of the stadium is snowing, but the game inside is not snowing, these games often d/c.
Do you guys play on the 360? For whatever reason, I don't experience these dc's that everyone is talking about on the PS3.. I've only been DC 4 times since Madden came out on Ps3, all in a row just because my router needed to be reset.
Fortunately though, I have read that the new patch will fix the servers.. or so they say. So keep your fingers crossed.
Speaking of the patch, any latest word on a release date for it? And I am pretty sure these guys are talking about 360, everyone I have spoken to has had this problem with the 360 platform.

I'll send you a Friend Request when I get home from class tonight.. We'll definately get a game in though.
A way to check and see if it was you go to my online recent games and in the result column it will hav a D/C if it was on you end or a - if it was the other person. I played a guy last night that D/C'ed on me and it gave me a wine when I selected quit and count game it gave me a win and all stats for the game because I was winning and up 19-0 and just picked him off for the fifth time when he quit.
I know what you are saying, sometimes you don't get the win. A few times the games freezes when they quit, or disconnect. Because of that, I have to restart, and I end up getting a quit from it. I have 3 D/C or quits, when I am up at least 20-0.
