Trick Play or Cheat

I just starting playng and thought I was getting good at it. I played this guy today who on every offensive play would hike the ball from the center out to one of the recievers who would run with it.

When he hikes the ball you can't even see it travel to receiver, just all of a sudden a reciever has it and is off and running.

Is this a real play? How do you defend it.

It's not really a play its a bug in the game...

It's an exploit. It should be fixed with the next patch EA knows about it.

its a cheat....only way to stop it is tackle him 4 times before he gets the first down...knowing people like him he would go for it on 4th down

Thanks for the informaton. If you are playing someone and they use this play, do you tell them to take a hike. What do you suggest, I just want to react appropriately.

How do you find out about patches that come out? If I install the patch on my system, does that stop others from doing this when they play me? Sorry for all the questions, just new at this. Again, thanks for the information.

yeah and are the patches only for PS3 or are they for Xbox 360 too?

The patches are for PS3 also..

If I was playing someone and they used the play I would just concede and take the loss.. and leave them negative reputation on xbox live. According to Ian.. EA is watching..

I played a kid that did it. he did it all down the field and scored so i decided just not to let him have the ball. i just milked the clock every play scored before half to tie it and then milked the whole 2nd half to score with 25 sec left... that glitcher was so pissed haha

Thanks for the replies, appreciate it. I would love it if someone new a way to defense the play and just bury the receiver as soon as he gets the ball. I tried to play tight on the receivers, but he was always able to gain enough yards on a couple plays to get a first down and to keep advancing the ball. Again, I would love to stick his butt right at the line of scrimmage.

I doubt there is really any way to stop it... except for EA to fix it.

A solution until it is fixed.. is to not play anyone that uses Tampa Bays playbook.

Its from the TB play book & I also milked the clock on an A hole that tryed this on me. LOL
