I can't get an effective pass rush to save my life. derek anderson just completed 12/14 passes against me, and i got to him ONCE. and i'm not even playing on a very hard level...demarcus ware gets no pressure and the guy's a 98! c'mon.
you suck then... hahahahaahaha... jk jk... play a 3-4 and blitz both outside backers... then bring your SS in for a blitz... line him up over your DT and you will get a sack almost everytime... oh yea bring your lineman in...
yeah i rush with the OLBs about 85% of the time. i don't play without two safeties deep at all times. friggin CBs can't stay on anyone...this game is kinda frustrating so far. not saying i was amazing on 08, but it seems the defense has been scaled back (again) to make it easier it score points.
kinda got this figured out....you really have to blitz to get good pressure. i feel sorry for anyone using a cover 2 base and hoping to get good pass rush from your DEs.

Pass rushing is funny, if you have a scrambler, the best is to use a CB blitz (worked wonders against V. Young). But when facing a good team like the Pats, I normally use a MLB blitz or a FS blitz. It's not as effective, BUT, it works. But make sure you have DBs to gaurd the WRs or else you're going to get burnt by players like Moss or Johnson.
What position do you play on defense? Playing as a blitzer/pass rusher is usually the best way to get pressure, especially with someone like DeMarcus Ware, since you're smarter than the AI(usually) which makes it easier to beat them. If you're bad at rushing the passer I'd suggest working on it because IMO it is one of the best ways to make an impact as a human player on D.

I play with th bills and switched to a 3-4 based defense, in fact i use the cowboys defensive playbook just go to 3-4 under and find the play where one of the mlb blitzes and where you double the two outside wrs it worked good against the patriots for me in fact it was one of the few plays i called because it was stopping the run and the pass.

yeah i'm using Ware...he's the weak side LB, so it's not like i'm having to fight a tight end ever down, and he's faster than most of the tackles. it's just the the QB gets that damn ball out faster than any real human QB could. I liked how on the previous maddens the QB kinda froze if you got close enough for a sack. They seem to have removed that in this one...i literally knocked the **** outta McNabb, and he still completed a 20+ yard pass perfectly.
