im getting alot of **** about the 3 minute quarters and theres a few reasons i decided for it. number 1 you will be playing 31 games. playing 31 20 minute games and have all 32 people being able to do so, to me seem unrealistic. number 2, i have been to 3 seperate madden tournaments at local stores and they have all done 3 minute quarters, and they all went smoothly.
BUT since theres so much complaing and now threats to quit the league, i will attempt to change to 5 minutes.. if i have to start another league to do so it will remain at 3 and playoffs will be 5.

this is my gameplan if there is 3 min. quarters...
i will select to kick off every time...my opponet at best will score...im down 7-0...i will then take the ball, and proceed to run off the rest of the half, ending with at the very worst, a FG...i will then get the ball at halftime, and proceed to not let my opponet touch the ball the whole half, running the ball, throwing short passes, and eating the clock, scoring a TD if i had to kick a FG earlier, or i will kick a FG, if i scored a TD earlier.
how much fun will it be for my opponet only to touch the ball once at the beggining of the game?
i would win by default, as long as i keep my 2 drives going, and work the clock.

hey, dude with the rams...ive got a couple good LOLB's, that are both fast...clint ingram is rated a high 70s or low 80s with 85+ speed, and i dont really need him...he should be a starter, but hes a backup....i like carriker at DT, because i need a guy with some speed at DT, cuz i already got my run plugger (jon henderson)
im the jags, btw.
carriker is prolly rated a few points higher than ingram, but we could work something out...id even through in one of my DT's to make up for it.

madden tourney only do 3 min. quarter to weed out the bad players...every one i do, has 3 min. qts for the first couple of rounds, and then switches to 5 min.
3 min. is completly unrealistic, and the stats wouldnt even resemble an NFL game.
and with the way you can work the offense on 09, the situation i described above will happen often.
basically, one turnover, and your chances of winning the game are bleek at best.
with 5 min. quaters, you can come back from a turnover, or a couple bad possesions...not with 3 min quarters.

Well my main concern is LB. I am willing to trade down Steven Jackson and trade Carriker for LBs. Avery is another possible choice, I dunno if you would be willing to straight trade Avery(76) for Ingram(78).
Jackson could go in a multiplayer trade that includes a lower rated RB and maybe a MLB, depending on the players could include Carriker. Want a MLB or LOLB rated atleast 85.
I have to go get my wireless adapter and will sign up later today .
Jayhawk - I have the browns and if you want would be willing to look at trading either WR Donte Stallworth or Joe Jurivious for a say CB Drayton Florence ?
I got Derek Anderson as well and plan on using Brady Quinn so he is up for grabs for a right trade offer as well .
The 3 min quarters is low and would like to see 5 min quarters but if can't change it than I will still stay and finish this league season out .
He was the starter a year ago at LT but is now a backup since the Joe Thomas pick I believe his overall is in the mid 80's .
Just a heads up I found that switching Cooper Carlise to the LT spot and Kwame Harris to the RG spot improves the running and passing blocks better as Cooper only drops 3 overall points while Kwame jumps to a 83 or 84 overall here .

Im having a problem with Madden online wondering if anyone else is also.I keep getting kicked off the ea servers and disconnects me from online games about 50% of the time.It doesnt kick me off LIVE just the ea sports server.It doesnt happen on other online games( sometimes on 2k8 server for basketball) but not as much. The firsts 2 days the game came out I had no problems around the 3rd day it started happening and now its pretty much all the time ****ing my record up with losses and dissconnect %.Anybody have any clues? Ive called around to my phone company who is my isp,to ea and xbox and all give me the run around blaming it on the other guy. I cant believe a word they say thou cause I dont know if yall remember the slow motion glitch(the game would be in slow -mo. The further away u lived to your oppenet the slower the game would be) when madden first came out on Xbox360 it was something ea and Microsft knew about and developed a patch for to fix,but when I would call about this issue they pretty much gave me the same bull**** like now of we dont know whats going on its probly my fault in some way -funny how months later they anounce the patch to fix that issue even had a article about it I seen.So why the clueless act. I even had the guy at xbox try to tell me its slow cause when u get up to 16 people playing multiplayer it will slow down. DUMBASS madden doesnt have 16 multiplayer- left me wondering who the hell I called.Some damn Slurpee slinging indian who never even played a xbox or madden FRUSTRATING anyways ill stop ramblin about that issue.So does anyone else have a clue on whats going on anything would be of help compared to what ive gotten THANKS
I am not having the freezing problems like you guys are describing. I have had the game "freeze up" a couple of times when my opponent disconnected, but I still got the win and didnt have a disconnect penalty. My ISP is charter and I have the 10meg high speed, dont know if they has anything to do with your problem, but when you say that your ISP is your phone company, you might want to change to cable. As far as the EA servers, I havent had a problem with Madden, but with NCAA it seems to kick me out sometimes and I cant get back into the EA servers until I reboot?????
