New Announcers for Madden 09 Revealed
Madden NFL 09 will also feature a network-inspired broadcast presentation. Players will benefit from the authentic football knowledge of an in-booth play-by-play and color commentary team featuring Cris Collinsworth and Tom Hammond. In addition, numerous graphical enhancements have been made, including realistic weather and grass, sleeker player models and exterior stadium views

I think the decision to bring Tom Hammond on board was a great decision. He is a top quality broadcaster. The past few editions with "EA Radio" just didn't have the same feel.

Sweet hopefully they finally get the weather thing right, I play as the Steelers and it will be at the end of the year and the coaches have tee-shirts on. Should be interesting to see what the new commentators will say to. |

New Commentary! Though I dont know what I am getting excited about, they got rid of the Current Gen Xbox version over here anyway. So Ill need to cough up if Im going to get this game.
Its about time they got some new stuff though. I would have liked to have seen Simms on there, not sure why, but I quite like him as a commentator - One of the few I can tolerate..

They got rid of the current Gen xbox version everywhere this year Titans.. There will not be a Madden 09 on xbox.

I too like Tom Hammond quite a bit, he's a pretty good broadcaster.
Although to be honest, I am not a huge Chris Colinsworth fan, but I feel like he may be really good in this setting, where it's all recorded, not live.
