For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.

often...and actually, I am in a franchise with Arizona(drafted)...and I am basing it off that...I am in the NFC championship game....I go like 12-4 a year.
yeah... if you win like 4/4 or 5/5 between progressions, you can boost 3 or 4 with a certain players.... depending on how they did.

in fact...this year I had Fleming Thompson, TE from NC...drafted him as an 82 overall and I started him all year in front of Jonny Harline, an 87 over all..and Fleming never progressed one time and he had over 40 catches and I think just under 5 TDs
I have Champ and he has regressed every year and right now Chris Gamble is rated higher than Champ...Champ is 93 Overall...
My record is taking a 68 overall 6th round pick Corner with amazing non-football abilities to a 99 overall after 6 years. After 2 years he was a 91. I think he progressed so much because he was always the person to get the tackle on kickoff and punt and he was my all-pro returner.
