A very simple change I think we can all agree Madden needs...

A practice squad. It's a very simple thing to add on to franchise mode and would let you keep those 7th round picks. It would also make undrafted free agents actually have bidding wars like real life, instead of no one signing them.

Yeah, it would be really cool to have a practice squad but like titans said, there are a lot more important features to implament first.

The 55 man roster is EA's way of 'giving' us a practice squad.

The NFL is only a 52 man roster and on game day you can only have 45 (or 47 if they passed the new rule I'm not sure) active.

Now.. having said that I would rather EA make is realistic.. give you a 52 man roster with a practice squad and you have to activate your players (45 or 47) on gameday.

I totally agree. They would have to let you have teh third Emergency QB though if the first two were injured that didnt count against the 47 man gameday roster.

I say keep the 55 man roaster and dotn worry about a pratice squad cause you prolly wouldnt use the players anyways...they need to work more on the draft in my part...but thats my view

I completely agree, Cash. I would much rather have a choice before every game to deactivate a player and activate another on my roster.

I think a Practice Squad would finally allow us to take a QB in a later round, who we really like, and allow him to develop into a starter in a year or two (or more).

Being able to play Practice, Training Camps, Mini-Camps would be great and in doing so you'd be able to work on a player or let a player develop by having them do well.

My guess is that a practice squad is one of the new feautures in the next few years. They have plenty of room to add this into the Next Gen games.

Yeah they should have it in the game every thing else about running an NFL team is represented in the game. Other than revenue from merchandise sales and practice squads maybe someday revenue for increased popularity due to playoff success will be represented in the game.
