New Poster....my 08 Madden Wishlist
I have been playing Madden for a long time. Since the ambulance drove onto the field to pick injured players up. But, Madden 07 was a serious disappointment for me. I thought there were a ton of lapses and here are some things I'd like to see in the 08 game.
1. Why go through the time and trouble of having to play 3-4 years in NCAA?? I mean if you go in and break every rushing or passing or recieving record...you should get into the FIRST ROUND! I dont understand why it is so tough to crack the first round...I have never been able to do it. I guess rushing for 8,500 yards and 115 touchdowns in 3 years at Penn State isnt good enough.
2. The camera angle in Superstar mode was awful...especially as a QB. And where was Al and John to announce the game??? Please, I buy the game to hear Madden ramble....put him in superstar mode. Having the coach call the play wasent awful but...as a 250 pound running back for the Steelers....if you are on the goaline you are not throwing the football...not even on play-action. So, let us call the plays again.
3. In Superstar mode...you weren't really able to distinguish yourself as you played the game. You controled yourself but that was it. During the week...give us interviews every week. Give us the chance to talk trash on our opponent that week. Let us go out and kick it at the club on Mondays before the off-days. Give us the option to go to the weight room or to sit around and do nothing. And in the off-season give us something to do....anything. After the probowl it simulates all the way through the draft and then your back to next season. You have no idea who you drafted and what impact it has.
4. Make gameday feel like we are watching on TV. If you get drafted....be in the green room...or be at home with the family and celebrate. On Sundays...do a pregame-halftime interview and hi-lights and then the post game wrap-up. And for the love of God...make the crowd seem more into the game. NCAA did it right with the remote and screen shaking when you were against a rival team. People lost composure and coudlent hear audiables.....have teams fear comming to your place.
5. Super Bowl celebrations!!!!! How about presentation of the Super Bowl trophy and MVP award with interview on stage. The whole 9 yards...make a super bowl win what it is...a HUGE deal.
6. And finally...please take out that guy who does paintings for your website. And there are too many endorsements...and so what if you get an endorsement?? How does it effect you as a superstar?? Please show us hi-lights for at least teams in our own division...we have no idea who won and how. Have the hair style guy quit calling me. And add more options to the map....there are 4 places you can go and they all suck. How about giving me a 1/2 decent agent if I'm expected to go high. Would Reggie Bush get an agent looking to "sign anyone."
Madden has a lot of work to do to make this game elite. And with the passing precision thing....and all this other crap...they've taken a step back.
