Madden 08 cover
A friend of mine whose son works at an EB games says that Chad Johnson is the new cover player. Anyone out there that can verify this?

Cool if true, because it means they may vamp up the WR spot in the game...

He said Johson is the cover guy on all the pre order stuff that they're not even allowed to set out yet...though again, all I have is his word to go on...

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.

I don't think it will be CJ, didn't he get the new Blitz cover? I doubt they'll give two covers to the same guy. I think it will be Drew Brees.

Reggie Bush! lol, jk.
Who knows, maybe record setting (and stat cap breaker) Devin Hester will get it. (Which btw, you guys do know that Hester is the kid that Deion Sanders legally adopted I think in college)

uhh... Where did you come up with this?
Deion tried to adopt a kid named Noel Devine (not really a kid he was 17 when Deion tried to adopt him.. he is now 19 and has 2 children)
Never heard anything about Deion adopting Hester. You got a link to back that up?

Let me look it up. I was almost possitive he adopted this kid in college. I'll post back if I can find that Cash, if not, my bad I must have heard wrong. I'm about, well after you said that, 50% sure I'm right lol.

Yup, you were right. I dunno where the hell this guy got that from that told me that. He is extremely knowledgable in this crap so I figured it was good info. He must have been smoking crack, lol.
Here's what I found that MAYBE he might have missunderstood:
"In addition to his productive tenure at the University of Miami, Hester befriended Deion Sanders through Ed Reed, one of Sanders’ teammates who was an alumnus of the University of Miami. Sanders counseled, advised, and also provided Hester with encouragement. Hester was also known as “Anytime” in college, which is a tribute to Sanders’ nickname, “Prime Time”. He also adopted Sanders’ signature touchdown dance, and showboating maneuvers, which he carried to his future NFL career." -Wikipedia.com

I was reading something and I thought that Chad Johnson and Reggie Bush were out of the running since they each just got a cover recently ... Bush with NCAA 07 and Chad with NFL Street, Blitz, whatever they call it now-a-days ......
Wouldn't make sense to give him two covers ... OR is that just my rationale?
