the one thing that continues and has continued since the game was made, is the dropped passes. the passes that r right in the hands of the reciever perfectly thrown and then dropped, blowing a much needed first down or TD. same goes for the dropped INT thats right in hands that could end a game or even win a huge game.
Well, this could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. I think madden even says in the game, "there isn't a reciever that can say he has never dropped a pass."
If you want your recievers to always catch the ball, turn up the Human WR catching slider.
DB's are WR's that can't catch. Therefore they should drop more balls. Also if you time it right you will catch almost every ball.(Without touching sliders)

The simple fact is that he is a over rated piece of **** that can't cover. He makes bad reads on routes and lacks the ability to recover when he is beaten.
For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
need we look at riche caldwell in the colts afc championship game? the guy was open wider than paris hiltons legs and lindsey lohans put together and he still dropped passes and i could have even caught those
guys drop balls in real life. they should drop them in the game. drives me nutz though. playin against pyro and my linebackers will be wide open on the pass and not catch it. and on a throw to the flat, LB gets it its 6 the other way. but thats life.
You know how many times my corner like Duanta Robinson gets his hands on the ball and it just bounces? Ahhh, he has like 60 catch. He should pick most of those off.
I wish DB's could catch an interception and try to stay in bounds like they do in Real life. If they catch it on the sideline they just drop it 75% of the time.

There is no point in catching it though because it won't count.

I think what he's saying is that the DBs should grab a ball heading out of bounds but make an effort to keep their feet in (I guess this should also apply to WRs) like they do in the NFL. As advanced as Madden has become I'm not sure they could program it to do that like based on skills or whatever so it's sufficiently random but better WRs are clearly better at staying in bounds. That would actually be cool, and now that I think of it, not as hard as it might seem.

the last espn nfl game that was put out, before madden went exclusive with the NFL. argghhhh! the receivers would try to stay in bounds when catchin on the sidelines. actually the last two they put out were like that. i liked the espn games better myself. the sega sports games were way ahead of the ea sports. and still are in basketball and baseball. guess madden was afraid they would take over. anyways back on subject, i think that they should definitely implement it into the game and just base it on catch. the higher the catch rating the more chance there is for them to stay in bounds.
