A few things that would make Madden a little more realistic:

-more arm tackles and mis-tackles, more gang tackles
-make height and weight a factor
-have the receivers drop more passes, or at least make a "catching tendency" option...STOP having receivers run a curl and have the ball bounce off their hands, and do NOT let them miss completely! Make some animated drops like they do catches if you have to
-make the defense attempt to tackle the ball carrier while being blocked
-don't let the highlight stick work so well, if you need to get rid of it and exchange it with ESPN2K5's shoulder charge, where the ball carrier will either break the tackle by plowing the guy, or get tackled while fighting...I'm sick of a one-automatic-broken-tackle-then-get-tackled kind of deal every play
-have "hit stick" kind of tackles occur less often, or simply make more of them, to make them more enjoyable... when there's about 5 big hits in the game and you play Madden more than once, you start to either get sick of them or just get used to them and they don't seem like big hits to you anymore... take any of Madden's "hit stick" tackles and try to find one tackle like that in real life.... if all else fails make them less gruesome
-give the WR's a chance to make a jump-ball catch

A little more on the arm tackles and gang ones: watch ANY NFL rushing play; whether be big play or small, and then at any rushing play from Madden, then look at the difference!!! The real play has a couple mis-tackles hear and there, and it is hardly ever one guy who takes the ball carrier down by himself, unless it's the safety tackling a WR who got deep.

Finally, a little more on the height and weight thing: once they apply the jump-ball oppertunity for the receivers, people will love to use their tall receivers to an advantage

Here are my ides for new features...let me know what you think

1:The CPU initiates trades! also you could be able to trade for future draft picks. In addition, you could throw in some extra cash or demand some extra cash if the player you're trying to trade or the player another team is trying to trade to your team is valued too low.

2:It would be nice to see a REAL superbowl halftime show. All EA has to do is just put the halftime shows from 99'-07' in the game and let the player decide which one he wants to watch. Neat huh?

3:Make WR's be able to drag their feet to stay inbounds.

4:In the offseason, you can select which players you want to work out the most and their stock would rise or decrease as you did this.

5:All-New player personalities! (Ex:Mike Vick cut his hair because he wanted a new look and he couldn't win a superbowl. Warren Sapp lost a bunch of weight this offseason to better his stats. Randy Moss is always crying about something right? Then why doesn't he wine in the game? And I can't even say enough about TO! You guys get the point. Last but not least....Chad Johnson....lol...He's got a mouth on him!

6:Being able to latter the ball. (Ex:remember a few years back when the new orleans saints lattered the ball about 6 times in one play!? And it ended up being the play of the year? This would make a great addition.

7:A more realistic crowd! (Ex:Fans actually boo their team or the "team hero" when they don't perform to expectations. They rush the field after the superbowl etc.

8:A deeper franchise mode. (Exlayer suspensions because of misconduct off or on the field, fines need to be added to the game also.

9:Fights on the field (ex: remember when the falcons played the eagles for the first game about two seaons ago? Jerimiah trotter and jason webster got into a fight before the game started and both were suspended for that game)

10:Coaches give refs an "eaf full" on a BS call. LOL.....Now that's REALISTIC!

11:More trick plays! (Ex:Fumberlerooskie, better flea flickers,etc.)

12:More unique celebrations! (Ex:TO's sharpie, Joe Horn's cell phone, or you could create you own unique celebration)

13:This is a big one.......Whenever you upgrade your stadium in franchise mode....you can actually "see" the upgrade in use.

14:Now this one may never happen but i'm gonna throw it out there. lol......here goes! A lone fan runs out on the field naked b4 the superbowl begins.....YOU'VE SEEN THE HIGHLIGHTS! IT HAPPENS.....lol

15:Player injuries needs to be more realistic. When a player injures his hip..he doesn't "walk" off the field.

16:Post game interviews

17:Fresh commentary.....C'mon.....madden ain't dead yet. He's old..but he ain't dead.

18:In franchise mode....you can e-mail the players back.

19:Make team "bad apples" real! (Ex:Adam Pacman Jones, The entire bengals team, lol, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, etc.

20:Make the weather a factor. (Exome teams suck in the playoffs in the snow) A dome team players' attributes should fall during that game.

21:Player and coach conflicts (Ex: John Gruden and Keyshawn Johnson)

22:NFL recruits college coaches! need I say more?

23:Why don't players get hurt when you unleash the hit stick? It is a BIG hit right?

24:All new warm-up before a game. (ex: run through some plays, stretch, etc.

25:Super Bowl intro's by player names! (Ex:Ray Lewis does his little dance)

26:Coaches can hire and fire staff

That's about it guys....let me know what you think

They need to fix the offensive push off when playing against someone else. I play against people who switch to the receiver, run into the corner until it redirects him and then turn back to the ball on deep passes.

A more sophistcted replay system. Espn 2006 was good about letting you decide what you wanted to challenge.

I think they should make it easier to make diving catches for recievers and DB's

Well basically everything has been said already. But I want to reiterate the fact that most of the players leaving BYU are 25 or older because of the two year mission they go on. Also you dont really see many of their players on the game even though they are playing or are free agents. That part upsets me greatly. Just my 2 cents.

Why not choose what team you play for in Superstar mode. I know it's unrealistic, but it would be nice.

Few of my ideas here:

-Hall of Fame would be nice. Good to see retired players come back as coaches but a Hall of Fame would rock too.

-Height and weight should be a factor.

-Being able to lateral the ball would be nice.

-Teams use QB at WR/RB sometimes....yet you can't unless you edit their position on Madden. That needs to change.

-Keep track of career stats/all-time stat leaders and whatnot. There is enough memory to do this on the Xboxes

-Suspensions would be a nice realistic touch. No drug/alcohol related ones because that wouldn't fly with the NFLPA lol.

-Injuries more realistic with maybe bringing the cart out for leg injuries or something to that effect.

-Weather should definately be utilized better. Able to see snow on the field...thick snow that will affect ball handling and kicking

This is all I can think of atm.

I'd like to see more dual threat players, like Deon Sanders and the like supers
