O.K. I have played madden on the xbox360 and now i have a ps3. The same problems were in both.
1> a more intensive franchise like maybe 3 or 4 years ago when you got to pick head coaches
2> fix the draft to many de's and how come all TE's (at least you get them in the third) are so good. Were are the occasional freaks (i.e. calvin johnson). there are also no good DT, or MLB. Draft's need to be more evened out overall. One more time what the heck is up with all the DE.
3> fix the player progression it seems like (at least in the ps3 and xbox360) defensive player progression is based to much on how the team does. If my team has a bad year and brian urlacher still has 138 tackles he shouldn't lose as many points (i think he should gain) as the weak side gut that got 68. Also what's up with the defenses just slowly going downhill as your franchie goes along after about 15 years in the 70's and lower.
let me know what you guys think.

madden 2008 (all systems)
1.you should be able to knock over referees (they're always in the way)
2.*they should have the pro bowl skillz challenge (fastest man)*
3.*they should have a fifth difficulty level (all pro/all madden/hall of fame)*
all madden becomes too easy after a while
4.when players get injured trainers should help them off the field
5.more detailed statistics(half a sack, assisted tackles...)
6.better college prospects w/ ages from 19(rare)20-24 w/ a few 25-27
7.better progression system w/ speed being able to go up a max of 2
players that start to decline at age 33
8.Al and John commentating with more detail(no one does it better than
them)
9.different cleats and color combinations

i like the practice squad idea but i really think that for superstar it would be sick if your guy would make money and you could buy things like cars and houses.
Also when there is an incomplete pass in football most of the time its not because the DB swated it into the ground. Make the QBs throw bad passes in the right situations.
You also need to have gang tackling. When one guy is tackling the runner let the other guys come in and hit the pile. Also when the runner gets stood up by one guy the other defenders should be able to come in and strip the ball.
The players also looked really fake last year. there body's are to fat. I know the players are strong but they dont look like that.
have a post game, pre game and half time show. show some the good replays and game changing moments. and please get rid of that radio show anouncer. He makes the game alot more boring with his dull voice. Get some real anouncers.
Practice squads would be nice but you should be able to play your guys when there still a little hurt players do that all the time. and it should be able to effect them if done wrong.

What I really want is for rookie Qb's to go up a lil bit every year...I'm not saying make a jump from 75 to 85 or anything...but many Qb's take a few years to develope into a good Qb. If a qb goes up like 1 or 2 a year for the first 3 years, I think the game would be more realistic. So many times that I have a rookie QB at like 76 or so, and he never gets any better, so by the time all the good Qb's retire...the best in the game is like an 87. After 3 years or so, he doesn't have to get anybetter, unless he begins playing well...
So:
1) If you have a rookie Qb on the bench who doesn't play, he should go up like 1 in like the pass accuracy and go up a couple in awareness.
2)If you have a rookie Qb who starts games or plays a few games during the season, goes up a few in like the PA and a few more in the other Qb areas

more interesting draft
During the draft, other teams should offer trades for the user to accept or deny!

my wish
Better drafting by the computer in franchise mode. Draft for need rather than best available.

I too would love to see some changes with the Draft. I think with the success of so many rookies and VY on the cover, they should make the Draft important. Not only that, but have rookies progression be different.
Have there be guys who accelerate quickly and rise in overal attributes quickly based on coaching and other factors like how they do in practice and so on.
Then have guys who become busts. Players who or one reason or another turn out to be bad and lose overall/attributes. Would make thinks interesting.
Of course you could have those guys who in the first round are never great, but are solid.
