Jets Preseason Week 4 PC
Another exciting, down to the wire game out there today...thank god wins and losses don't matter right now and it's only preseason, otherwise I would have had 4 heart attacks already. We narrowly escaped Philly with a win, although they benched the majority of their starters, so I'm not sure how much of a victory a 3 point win really is.
Chad saw his first action of the preseason...he looked a bit rusty, hopefully he got all of the rust out of his system and he'll be ready to go this Sunday. On the other hand, Ramsey looked pretty good yet again...out of our 3 quarterbacks, he's been by far the best this preseason. There's no QB controversy here, but we're relieved to know we have a very solid backup
The running game got on track this week, with Brown and Washington combining for over 100 yards on just 18 carries. Leon was particularly effective, and should provide a nice change of pace from Brown during the season.
Laveranues Coles led the receiving corps today, with 80 yards and a TD. He came out with an injury for a little while but he's okay and will be good to go for this weekend.
Defensively we still have some work to do. We really shut down their running game, but to be fair, they had backups Ryan Moats and Correll Buckhalter in the game. The passing D was soft, although they did make plays when it counted, providing two key interceptions - one off A.J. Feeley on the final drive of the game with the Eagles trying to tie the game up.
Overall I have mixed feelings about our preseason and our teams chances heading into the season. I think we definitely have the talent to be a playoff contender, but we'll have to be performing at our best week in and week out.
Questions?
