Forenci: First off, thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule Disturbed, it's great to have a chance to interview you. To start things off, how would you assess your offseason as a whole?
Disturbed: Hectic. Busy. I felt the Saints needed an overhaul on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. I still don't feel we are where we need to be at but you can only accomplish so much through trades.
Overall I would have to say this offseason has been a major success if you like offense and lots of potential scoring.
Forenci: Hah, well you did have some big trades during the off-season. On a personal level, which do you consider your favorite trade during the off season? I suppose what I mean is, which trade were you most excited to have take place during the off-season for your team?
Disturbed: The trade I made with Detroit. Boss Bailey is a personal favorite of mine, 2nd to only his brother Champ. I gave up a good amount to get him but on a personal level that one trade was the one that excited me the most. Being able to watch him play for my team every week will be something I will certainly enjoy.
Forenci: Well, with two great receivers in Randy Moss and Chad Johnson on your team, what are your plans for the run game? More specifically, do you expect Reggie Bush to be the work horse running the ball, or do you plan to give him more work elsewhere, like receiver?
Disturbed: Honestly at this point the coaching staff is having a difficult time thinking of how to get Reggie the ball. Tiki Barber will be the full time starter at running back so at this point it looks like Bush will have to settle for being a backup to Barber and lining up as a 3rd receiver.
We do plan to run the ball a good bit so Bush might see a decent amount of carries when Barber needs a breather.
Forenci: Well, when you have an explosive and veteran offense like the Saints do, the defense tends to be over looked a bit. What do you think your defense will be capable of this year? Are they going to be over shadowed by the offense, or do you suspect they'll help get you some wins too?
Disturbed: I honestly have no clue at this point what to expect. Our defensive line is solid but nothing spectacular outside of Greg Ellis. I think we might struggle to push pressure on opposing Quarterbacks with just a standard 4 man rush.
Our linebackers have some great speed and young talent at the Outside LB positions with Lehman and Bailey. We haven't settled on a starter in the middle but its looking like Sirmon will get the nod. Our defensive backs are really aging but they are smart veteran players. In the end though, I think we will have to score 28+ points a game to win.
Forenci: You've got some good competition in your division this year. Do you think you'll have an opportunity to compete for the division, or more importantly, do you expect your team to get in the playoffs?
Disturbed: I think we can compete but in the end I fear our defense will have us falling just short of the playoffs. Our goal for this year going in is a winning season. If we can get to 9 wins we will see what happens from there, but as of now our goal is to win 9 games.
Forenci: Sounds good. Just one more question for you. Now that you've had your first pre-season game and the off-season is officially over, is there any offseason moves you look back on now and think to yourself, "What the hell was I thinking?"
Disturbed: It was more of a collection of moves. Some how along the way I traded away too many offensive lineman and ended up really short on talent along the line. I have no idea what was going through my head on some of the trades where I just kept sending offensive lineman away.
Forenci: Well, it looks like you still did a great job this off season in what might one of the most creative and bold off seasons in quite some time. Thanks for your time and best of the like to the Saints this season, Disturbed.
I totally didn't know Disturbed was gonna be Hot Potatoed by Forenci. Good read.

I have nothing but good memories of playing for the Bills. It's something I cherish. When I was playing for the Pats, I'd wear a Bills T-shirt under my uniform. Someone came up to me one day and said, 'Fred, no matter what you wear on the outside, you,ll always be a Buffalo Bill on the inside.'
Those scrambling QBs tend to give up bunches of sacks at the end of games especially. I am concerned Romo may try to scramble too much as well.

Thanks. Disturbed made it quite fun, not only because I talk to him a lot on AIM, but because of some of the interesting things he did in the off-season.
There were a lot of good questions I wanted to continue asking but I didn't want to take up too much of his time, lol.
