"Short: Well I've always loved sports, specifically football...so when the opportunity to be around something I love presented itself, I gladly jumped on it."
"T.O.F.N.: You had a lot success in a very tough division, anything you think you could have done differently to possibly have won a superbowl?"
"Short: I truly believe I did everything I could to get the team there. We did reach the AFC Championship once, only to get demolished by Oakland...maybe I could have motivated the boys a little more before that one, they looked dead out there."
"T.O.F.N.: Not enough Sprite Zero, ehh?"
"Short: Haha, no, we ran out."
"T.O.F.N.: That was an inside joke for those who weren't apart of the old league. Now, Short, in the new league, you originally signed up for the Jets, for those who haven't known you as long as others, why did you go for the Jets, and not the Texans?"
"Short: I've been a Jets fan my entire life, so when that job opened up it was like a dream come true. As much as I enjoyed working with the Texans, it was my lifelong dream to run the Jets."
"T.O.F.N.: But your stay in New York was short, no pun intended. How's your life been since leaving the team?"
"Short: Life was a little hectic at the time I left the team, which was actually the reason I left. I felt someone else could do a better job running them due to my time constraints...but so far, no one has come forward. But to answer your question, my life has calmed down a lot since I left the team."
"T.O.F.N.: From the outside looking in, any personal favorites this year? Anyteams you are looking to suprise a lot of people, for better or for worse? Any teams you find overrated?"
"Short: The Chargers look like a solid pick to win it all. LaDanian Tomlinson could probably win a Super Bowl by himself, but when you put him with a solid defense and a good GM, they're gonna be very hard to stop. Also watch out for the Jaguars to sneak up on some people, they have a great defense."
"T.O.F.N.: Well, thank you for being the Guinea Pig in the first edition of Hot Potato. You now are to find another owner and have an interview them. You can interview them about anything, as long as it's just not there for Spam. But Short, one more question before we go. Any change we might see a new Jets GM?"
"Short: <Smirks> No comment. It's been a pleasure."
That's Hot Potato. Short should be working the next installment eventually.
