Hey guys…it’s been quite a while since I’ve been here, a little over a month I think. I have in no way forgotten about the board or the league, but my life has been pretty damn hectic over the last month. I’m not trying to make excuses, but I’m just gonna fill you guys in on where I’ve been, in case anyone’s been wondering…
Around the end of June I was busy with prom and graduation and graduation parties and all that good stuff…the first two weeks in July I was away in the Bahamas with no internet access or phone service. I came home to the unfortunate/unexpected news that an aunt that I was very close to had passed away due to a heart attack. I spent the next few weeks pretty much exclusively with my family. Then I had to make a few appearances in court…my parents are going through a pretty ugly divorce and custody battle and whatnot, so…yeah. In the midst of all that, this is the last summer before I go away to college, so I’ve been trying to spend some time with my friends too. All this while working a full time job.
But hey, I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times when I was at a computer and could have come to Maddenboard, but didn’t. That did happen, and I’m sorry...I should have came sooner to fill you guys in on what was going on, instead of leaving you in the dark. But like I said before, I haven’t forgotten about the board, and I’m definitely not leaving for good anytime soon.
However, I’m going to have to resign from the league (if I haven’t been kicked out already). It’s a shame, because I love the league and I had a great time in the last league…but I have too much on my hands right now to put in the effort that Cash deserves from a team owner. I’ve already put the Jets at a huge disadvantage by being inactive for the last month, so for that I apologize to Cash and the rest of the league, and especially to anyone that takes over the Jets in the future. I hope to rejoin the league some time in the future (if I'm allowed)...maybe once I get settled in college and my life slows down a little...but who knows.
Anyway, I’m really excited to be back. I definitely expect to be a lot more active on the boards from here on out.
Well Im sure we can all appreciate everything you just said, Im sorry to hear about the rough things you are/have been going through. And much as tho I am bummed that you wont be owning the Jets, Im glad that you are back at the board

The simple fact is that he is a over rated piece of **** that can't cover. He makes bad reads on routes and lacks the ability to recover when he is beaten.
For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
Sorry to hear about all the troubles in your life Short. I can understand how keeping up in the Sim League would not be a priority right now and respect your decision.

As everyone before has said its a shame you can't stay in the leave but with all that **** you have to go through. I don't think anyone can blame you, good luck with everything Short.

Ah, so you're going to the U, then? Well, as has been said, hope all goes well with your family, glad you're back on the boards, hopefully you can get back in the league next season.

It's sad to see another good owner forced to bow out of the league, but it's 150% understandable with what you've been going through. Hopefully you'll still be able to chat it up (as it sounds like you plan on trying to do).

Well, I completely missed the fact that you said you were leaving the league.
Sucks that you are gonna be gone. It seems we've lost quite a few good owners since the league started.
I'm sure there will be a spot open for you if you decide to come back. Maybe the Patriots? lol

Hehe...yeah, half naked latinas everywhere, all the time...can't beat that .
As far as the league goes...I miss it already and when I settle down in college, if I have as much free time as everyone is saying I'm going to have, I'll be back, whether it's with the Jets if they're still open or with another team. I just didn't want to tie them up and let them rot while I was busy, in case a new member joins and wants to take them and do some good with them.
