I'm new to the board here. Came here by recommendation of a guy who isn't here anymore. You're supposed to be the best simleague around, so I came to check out what you guys are all about. Looks fun so far, I'll dig a little deeper and see what's required, etc., etc.
If anyone has any advice, or a good starting point those would be a plus.

Well the main advice would be punctuation, it just makes things more legible...And you seem to already have that

You will have to be active in the forums to get a Sim League team, so take some time to look around and feel free to chime in on any topic mentioned in the forums.
A guy I used to work with, he loved the league but had problems with some people not believing him about something, or something to that extent, but he always used to say it was the most brilliantly run league ever.
Anyway, he went by the name ballbright. Does that ring a bell?

My main advice would be to ask any league members questions via pm or im ... they are all pretty helpful .... if you have questions about the league instead of posting new threads on how to get a team, etc.
That never goes over too well =)
Other than that your best bet is to read up and have fun ...

I would tell you to learn your way around the league stuff, ask questions and get to know people on AIM or by sending private messages. The best thing to do is to research and learn how everything works before jumping in.
Thanks all. I've read through the stuff, and I definately know how to run a franchise on Madden, I'm something of a salary cap miser though. I will probably have to donate to be a part of the league, though it looks like it may be worth it from what I've seen.
Are there currently any teams available? Some of the threads got a bit convoluted so I quit trying to keep up with who had what team.
Also where would one go to donate? Am I just blind and missing the link?

Why wouldn't I? I imagine it does cost to run this board. and it would put me at the minimum point requirement for trying to own a team. 2,000 points looks like it could take quite some time to accquire just by posting.

That's very true... In most cases. Takes some longer than others. But I think that's a good thing in some cases.

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
