Pre - Season Gm 1 Presser

Afternoon everyone!! Are you ready for some football? I just want to ssay for the record that preseason is all about progress. I saw a lot of room for us to improve , but to expect anything more I think would be a little unreasonable. I was happy to walk away healthy most importantly while getting our starters some reps. We did hold out a few guys but will be seeing them reinserted as the pre - season progresses.

I liked what I saw from a few of our young players who you never know when you're going to need as the season wears on. good to know they will be coming ini with at least some sense of game speed. our fisrt unit had a few starters out and so while the results were not statistically great we have toime to fix alot of the little things we didn't quite hit on.

With that said, are there any questions?

Obviously the biggest question for the Falcons will be Michael Vick. Do you feel that Vick did as expected for the first preseason game? Do you also feel he showed the ability to turn into the QB everyone expected him to be this season?

I thought he looked flat and didn't play particularly well, but hey that's what pre-season is for. We'll see how he progresses the rest of the way. He is our unquestioned game 1 starter barring injury. so he will continue to get first tring snaps.

So even if D.J. completely outperforms Vick these next three preseason games and Vick still plays poorly there is no doubt in your mind about Vick still starting?
