Eagles End Preseason With 1-3 Mark

We got beat, again. Nothing to worry about though. A quick note, we made the choice that Nate Jackson would be the third string tight end, and signed him to a deal before the game started.. Luckily enough he was able to catch a flight here in time and get in on a few plays..

The passing game was very good, once again. It was the rushing game that has continued to struggle. Both Buck and Moats couldn't get anything going, but I think once Brian gets in there it will all work out..

Jeff and AJ did an excellent job today, and Reggie Brown continued to prove he will be a great receiver one day.

The defense was good as well.. We lost on a last minute touchdown by the Jets, in which they converted a fourth and 21 I believe it was? Not positive on that. Either way, it was a pass they shouldnt've completed. Regardless, all in all, the defense wasn't the reason we lost.

Next week all the starters will be in there for our regular season kickoff.. Feel free to ask any questions you guys may have.

I may be looking at this question the wrong way, but I don't think our team will start off 1-3 in the regular season if that's what your asking.. We held out our starters in all three of our losses, our starters played in our only win.. I think we'll be one of the top teams in the NFL this year, hopefully we can just live up to the expectations the city of Philadelphia has for us.

Yeah, a couple.. both backup quarterbacks (Garcia and Feeley) did well, wide receiver Reggie Brown had a monsterous pre season, Justin Tuck really impressed the coaches in the two games he played in.. We also liked what we saw from both Michael Lewis and Sean Considine, and still haven't made a decision as to who will start there for the regular season.

At receiver they'll line up like this.. Holt, Reggie Brown, Avant, Baskett, Peter Warrick.. that'll be the order of the five..

Second string QB will be Garcia, obviously Donovan will be starting..

Perhaps the biggest position battle was between Michael Lewis and Sean Considine at strong safety, and we still haven't decided who will start there.
